It makes sense to go best player against each other. I just think Meyers has a better chance to contest shots with her length.

 

Meyers is just coming off of an injury and hasn't been starting since her return about a week ago. Regardless, I think Schafer will see several of the Cougars rotating and guarding her.

You guys do realize that Leah is our 3rd or maybe 4th highest scorer (for the season) on this particular team, right? She has the ability to "go off" in any game, but if you know her, it's not her scoring that makes her so good.

Highlands definitely has a lot of weapons and hopefully Conner is ready for all of them but Leah is a division 1 player and of course she is going to get a lot of attention...Conner has a lot of threats too not just Scott that's why I think this will be a great game

I'm sure coach Stamm has scouted most teams they have played and knows what they need to do to put them in position to compete...hopefully

I agree. I really think this game comes down to how well HHS can defend Conner's offense. If Conner is able to drive and dish at will and hit open shots, it could be a long night for the birds. But if they can defend 1:1 and keep cougars out of the lane which will allow girls to not have to help and can stay with the shooters, I like HHS chances. All of those are "ifs", but that's the way I see it. I really don't think it's individual matchups at all. It's style vs style. Who can stop the other's style and make them do something they aren't comfortable doing.

I'm sure he has. He's a good coach. Really just making points to the guys that are scheming to stop Schaeffer, not necessarily trying to tell Coach Stamm what to do. I'm sure he already has a plan, as well has HHS does too. I'm not naive enough to think the head coach of Conner is going to change any strategies based on a the perspective of a fan on BGP. Just making conversation/discussion points with the everyday fans.

I know they have other threats, but hypothetically lets say Scott and Schaeffer don't score a point. Who wins? Just discussion...but could Conner survive if their star doesn't produce? I really don't know the answer. I haven't seen them enough.

They have done a great job this year when Scott has been in foul trouble they definitely have other girls who step up so yes they survive just fine both teams have just as many threats as the other...by the way your daughter is having a great year I have seen her play a few times

RC/CVG I believe if there is such a thing this game is a win/win for both teams as far as seeing where each team stands at this point! The winner will walk away with a ton of confidence. The loser will walk away knowing what they need to do next time around! Great bunch of hard working ladies on both sides! Should be worth the price of admission........

youre right could care less 3 games i do care about are boone ryle and cooper

IMO: Best player on the floor will be Jordan Scott but Highlands Jesse Daley could have her way down low as Meyers doesn't match up well with her.
