Whose butt are you so far up that you are allowed to call names? This thread is about two very good basketball teams and people's opinion on the game so you picking Highlands doesn't surprise me at all good luck to both teams

OMG.. You two fighting like brothers or something.

Here's the thing with this quote. Schaeffer has only had 14 or more in maybe 3 games this year and one of those was against Dixie in a blowout and another in the Ryle blowout. Lets remember that HHS is nine deep. They have had 6 different girls step up and be leading scorers in different games. They also have other, besides those girls that have reached double figures in multiple games. I don't think it has much to do with Schaeffer and Meyers at all. If Meyers is guarding Schaeffer, she will be pulled away from the basket because that's not where Leah plays. That's Daley's area! If leah pulls meyer out, it could be a major issue stopping daley. People know Schaeffer, but Daley has the ability to take over a game. Ask Boone and PRP and many others. Leah plays more of a 3 or shooting 4. They also, like Conner, have multiple 3 point threats. It's hard to double anyone when the right team is on the floor. Should be a fun game to watch.

Nice analogy, but waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much info imo...

I agree this could be a preview which is why IMO they do not give away everything in the play book. Why would you go all out in this game when Conner has a key matchup on Tuesday against Ryle which is what they really need to be focused on. I would hate to see them have a great emotional victory Saturday night and then come out flat against Ryle. Not saaying that is what would happen but I just dont think this game is as important as Conner winning district games. I respect your take and obviously this is just mine!

Sorry Junk, I think this game is more about sending a message. If either coach holds back shame on them. This will be a very physical, well coached, well played game imo.

Win or lose for Conner... If they cant take care of business in their next game, then, well just then...Just sayin

I say these two coaches shock the world and hold the ball. Could this be a reply of the HHS ND regional game?

maybe you can give us another prediction and enlighten us about girls basketball since you think you know it all. remember boone good pick

Now your rolling! That was better than the "far up someone's butt" response you gave earlier. I am impressed. Very well done.

For real though, it is comical how serious you are taking me. I really don't hate Conner. Let me say that again. I really don't hate Conner. Up until my last couple of post, I had said nothing bad about Conner. Some of my earlier post were only an attempt to argue that some tougher games would help Conner get better (I still believe this) and some others were trying to explain why some thought Conner was getting disrespected. These post all seem to be highly misunderstood by some. These last post were more about joking and getting under some skin, than anything else. Perhaps are you not the joking type. So, for now, forgive me, and I shall quit with the jabs. You have to admit though, I was definitely helping raise your BGP post per day average...and your blood pressure.

Let me try to be a little more "political" as to not offend. Instead of saying, Highlands will win, I will say, IMO Highlands is favored. That in NO WAY means Conner cannot or will not win. They certainly could. They have the players and they are well coached. I am giving the edge to Highlands only because I think they have a couple more weapons to tend with and I think they have a slightly deeper bench with less talent drop off as you go down. This, I believe, gives Highlands a slight edge, which again, Conner can overcome. I am not being negative and I think it is safe to say that this will be the toughest opponent Conner has faced this season. It will be good to see Conner prove themselves and hopefully get even better than they already are from the tougher competition. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man (woman) sharpens another." I am sure the Highlands girls will be ready to "knock off" the higher ranked Conner. As most have said, should be a good game. AND BTW, like Boone, I could be wrong and way off. The really, really cool thing is that I am totally ok with it. Besides, its girls basketball and like RCC9 has said...it is like a box of chocolates.

 Dang, I had a smartelic comment for this, but I just wrote an essay to CVG stating I wouldn't take any more jabs toward him/her. Oh well.

Maybe too much for this group, but if coach Stamm doesn't already know this info, then he is no where near the coach everyone is talking about!!!

My point is...coach Stamm is a good coach and I'm sure he knows what he's up against. I'm sure I'm not telling any secrets. Heck, just in his tournament alone, he sat and watched HHS play 4 games, let alone any other tapes he might have on us. Heck their entire team was at the Ryle game. I'm sure he knows what he has to stop and I'm sure the birds know about Conner.

My point was, we don't rely on 1-2 kids to have to score every night. We've had many games where those two haven't hit double figures together and still won. Coach Stamm will have to stop multiples (which I'm sure he has a plan for already) and we have to stop a few. Not saying that's easy by any means, but it doesn't come down to Leah and Meyers. How bout a what if? What if Leah guards Scott and holds her to under 8? Does Conner win. I'd have to say that would be tough for them. She's held down some of the best over the years I've seen her play. Now vice versa...what if they hold Leah to under 8? Doesn't matter because she does soooo many other things and HHS doesn't rely on her scoring. Holding down Scott is a chore for anyone and I have no idea who will guard her or if they'll even play man. But I do know we have a great long defender that loves a challenge.

I have no idea who will win the game, but I do like the birds in this one if they defend and rebound like they have been.

And again, if Conner coaching staff doesn't already know all this by now, they should be fired tomorrow! Pretty basic info about the birds. Heck, you could get that much by just reading the paper!

Now I know why I moved out of fort Thomas

Good answer and I agree with most except the bolded.

This team does not rebound, let me repeat this team does not rebound.

They can beat sub par teams not rebounding but they have struggled miserably with teams who decided to expose their weakness.

This is the only missing link to a region contender imo.

Should have put "like they have rebounded recently". I agree they struggle at times, but the last couple games have been improved.

Now I know why I moved out of fort Thomas

Please enlighten us as to why? Did I not give Conner enough respect? Sorry. Said they have a good coach nice three point shooters and a girl that is very tough to stop. Pm what more you wanted me to say and I'll add it.

It was just a joke this thread has been too serious lets just all hope for a good game for the GIRLS..
