The show is not that bad at all. Sounds like some of you had your mine made up ahead of time

I gave it a chance...it failed. It's hard to make an enjoyable show about such a pitiful personality.

Cincinnati Enquirer

by John Kiesewetter

Looks like Pete Rose has struck out at reality TV.

The final two episodes of “Pete Rose: Hits & Mrs” aired last Sunday morning… not on TLC, not on Discovery… but on Discovery Channel’s little sister, the “Destination America” channel.

All six episodes — the four that aired in prime-time on TLC in January, and the two pulled from TLC’s Jan. 28 evening schedule — aired starting at 9 a.m. Sunday.

The Discovery/TLC publicist had said in late January the final two would “air during spring training, when baseball is more top of mind.” So they put them on Sunday, two days after Reds position players reported to camp.

On Sunday morning, not prime-time.

On the Destination America, less than a year old, with only available in 59.5 million homes. (TLC reaches 100 million; Discovery reaches 101 million.)

With no publicitity. And no repeats scheduled.

That’s a big ol’ swing and a miss.

When I told the network that Cincinnati missed the show Sunday, and asked if and when “Hits & Mrs” will repeat so we can see them, I was told:

“It was on Destination America. They aired the entire series (Eps. 1-6) on Sunday morning. No other repeats on schedule. Thanks!”

Kiesewetter is being a bit harsh on the "Destination America" channel. (DirecTV channel 286).

Pretty strong lineup including a zillion episodes of a series called "The Haunting". The channel also airs such crowd favorites as: "The Exorcist Files"; "Exorcists: The True Story"; "Swords, Life on the Line" and "Lizzie Borden Had an Axe."??? :scared:

Pete joined the Destination America sports cavalcade in the company of the great Babe Winkleman (Good Fishing).

Wonder when the show will come out on DVD? :eyeonyou:

I don't know, but I bet Pete will sign it for a buck and a half.
