The NKY Challenger has an article about the upcoming All A .

I wasn't aware that a Catholic school has won the last 15 9th region A tourneys.

Also, I must take Coach Herald to task a bit(even as a supporter of what he's accomplished). Why say the following:

"I can only play kids who LIVE IN MY SCHOOL DISTRICT (emphasis added)" when talking about reasons for the Catholic schools' success over the last 15 years.

Anyone else catch this? Anyone else notice the picture? I would think a coach from Beechwood or Highlands would not do well playing the "privates have an unfiar advantage" card.

Was he not speaking the truth??? It is what it is. Public schools are limited to their district. I think it is obvious that schools like HolyCross, NCC and St. Henry have more feeder schools. Stating the facts is not a crime. They should have more talent.

CSHS 81 I did but.... You know it just isn't worth the time to point somethings out.

BTW did you notice the BIG mistake saying "Bill Frey of Covington Catholic" and not from Holy Cross. :D I can't wait until BigStud reads this. .

But then again it is the same paper who employees Andy Furman to write about High School sports in Northern Kentucky and for the life of me can anyone remember seeing Andy at any High School game anywhere? I haven't!

No. He was not "speaking the truth". I'm not saying he was lying . I have no reason to question his credibility. Either he was misquoted or he simply misspoke and wasn't thinking clearly.

I thought the same thing cshs81. especially the emphasis on "I can only play kids who live in my school district"?? That could fall into the "people who live in glass houses........." thing?? By the way is Villa Hills now in Ft. Mitchell??

 I know, the Andy Furman section is so Vanilla, I think my 8 yr old son could put it together. I mean, he has people email him what is going on because he is so clueless and they he basically publishes it. I bet he doesnt even confirm if the news is correct. I did love the article on the kid who got cut from ST. Henry......I think it was Izzy Kadetz' grandson or something...... hmmmmm lets see... Andy is a huge voice for IZZY's....... lets see... maybe he should write an article about it......NOT. Leave the cutting to the coaches Andy.... its a tough enough job.

Herald is a pretty str8 up guy, been in the bizness for many years so I doubt there are any sour grapes. I think he has taken that Beechwood program and really put them on the map.....

I'm not a fan of Herald at all. Seems to me he likes a lot of cheese with all that wine. (On the court and off.) I think Michael Romes and Chad Moore have really been the ones who have put the Beechwood basketball program back on the map.

Are those two players originally from the Beechwood school district?
