Mustang just posted in another thread the first game is at Calvery tonight at 6:00. Brossart vs Calvary.

Since Brossart first won the All "A" region in 2001, they have owned the region, winning 10 titles to go along with an All "A" State Championship in 2007. The only two years the Mustangs failed to win the region were 2002, when Paris was champions, and 2009, when Calvary Christian won the trip to Richmond. Of the nine teams in the region, only Augusta, Deming, and Silver Grove have never won an All "A" Region title. Paris has won four (last in 2002), St. Patrick has won three (last in 2000), Bracken County has won twice (last in 1998), and Nicholas County has won once (in 1994).

Does anyone know much about the BC teams that won in 98' and 92' I believe?

The 92`team was Mark Tucker, Jason Tuel team that upset Nicholas Co. in Brooksville to go to Rupp Arena and faced a Lex. Cath team that won either all A state or won sweet 16 dont remember.

Is that the 92' or the 98' team? Was thinking Softball Coach Coy Cummins was a part of the 92' squad. Does anyone remember the starting five for both of those squads and the Coaches? Just curious. Maybe Randy Parker can can provide the answers.

I'm no Sumo, that's for sure. Just a nerd with a pretty decent memory when it comes to hoops.

 

The All A as we know it now wasn't in existence for neither Cummins nor Kalb.

Not to sound mean but I think Brossart JV team could walk to the finals in the 10th.

You may want to ask Brent Bach and company if they feel the same way. Also the host team could create a challenge. I don't think Brossart is going to look past any team. One game at a time. Being the top dog, other teams gun for them. I'm sure the other teams will bring their A game.

Cummins and Kalb were seniors in '88, which by the way were defeated in district final by Deming with Gayle Conley, Collins brothers and co.-- No relevance to All A, just fond memories of district alignment as it stood then.

Was Campbell County at one time in the same district with Bracken,Deming,etc?
