Knew this would be a good game. Thanks for the updates!!!!!

Knott Central hit 47 for 51 from the foul line.

Hazard was 27 for 38 from the line.

Knott's Cameron Justice had 38 points.

What a game. Knott lead by as big as 13 (maybe bigger, radio kept quitting and playing) going into the 4th, Hazard rallied back to send it into OT where it was all Knott. Knott outscored Hazard 19-11 in the extra period. Hazard goes to 8-1 and Knott County Central goes to 8-0. Justice lead all scorers with 38 (16-17 FT). Not sure who lead Hazard, scores haven't been called in.

Hazard leaves for Vegas next week for the Las Vegas Prep Championship

Knott Central will host the Paris Greyhounds on Saturday at 7:30 Pm then it's off to Lexington Catholic to play in the Republic Bank Classic where they open up with Simon Kenton on December 27.

I hate to hear that about Hollan. He is one of their best best players. Hopefully he can make it back before the post season tournaments.

89 FTs?

Sounds like this one lived up to the expectations!

Hate that for the Hollan kid.

Yep. Some are saying that it was a bogus call on the intentional foul call on Hazard. I think the refs were way too strict in this game, no way should 2 teams have shot 89-90 free throws in a game.

The intentional foul call was a difference maker. Hazard had come from 13 down to take the lead late in the 4th quarter. Without that call and subsequent 4 point play, Hazard wins the game in regulation. The radio I listened to was from Hazard, so I'm sure they were naturally a little biased, but the announcers said it definitely was not an intentional foul. Of course, I'm sure the Hindman station thought it was a marvelous call, lol.

Same station I was listening to before it wouldn't stop buffering. I can't get Knott's radio station to come on my computer, not sure why

I couldn't get the Hindman station's sound to come in on my computer either. So I switched to the Hazard station. They said it was a capacity crowd at Knott's gym ----5,000.

KCC had them blew out, then let Hazard back in the game....ended up about like I figured...8 or 10 point game....Hazard is maybe the third best team in region....

nikeman, you've got to understand this game was played at Knott Central, and without the intentional foul call against the Hazard player late in regulation (which the radio announcers I listened to seem to think was a bad call), Hazard would have won and there wouldn't have been OT. Also, Knott outscored Hazard by 20 from the free throw line and scored half their 94 points from the charity stripe.

Hazard likes to man press and by listening to the radio broadcast it sounded like the officials called the game as tight as possible, thus Hazard picked up a lot of fouls. Knott doesn't press as much as Hazard and zones some too, and didn't pick up as many fouls. If the next time they meet it is called looser by the refs, like it is at the state tournament, then Hazard will win. However, they're going to need Hollan and that doesn't look good right now. With a healthy Hollan I still think Hazard is the best team in the 14th. Without him, probably not.
