December 17, 201213 yr Whether it's this school or a different location, I think the district needs to make every attempt to keep these kids and staff together. Change the location but not the faces.

December 18, 201213 yr IMO they should build a new school close by for next year. Then tear down this school build some type of memorial area for family and friends and a sweet park and make it a place of happiness again. I would never ask anyone who was there to walk those same halls ever again.
December 18, 201213 yr IMO they should build a new school close by for next year. Then tear down this school build some type of memorial area for family and friends and a sweet park and make it a place of happiness again. I would never ask anyone who was there to walk those same halls ever again. And who should pay for that?
December 18, 201213 yr And who should pay for that? I heard people are out working to renovate the school the kids are moving to. I'd say the same people doing that would be more than happy to help build the new school. I don't care who pays for it but I agree that they should build these kids a new school. Their friends and teachers were murdered at the current school and some of them witnessed it. How can you ask a 6-7 year old to go back there? It doesn't matter who pays for it. I'd donate some of my money if that's what it took.
December 18, 201213 yr And who should pay for that? I dont think there would be a problem getting most of the money donated if not all. Just my opinion. Even if not I fell the state could step in and pay for it. How do you think those young kids would feel walking the same halls where their family and friends were shot and killed?
December 18, 201213 yr Author I agree. Build a new school. Forget that memory ad build a new one. No reason to make everyone relive that moment when they walk through those doors. That school will forever be remembered as the school with the shooting. It's not fair to the kids nor the teachers.
December 19, 201213 yr All they have to do is ask for donations to build a new school and they would get plenty of funds. When you factor in that this tugs at the hearts of virtually all humans and also the celebrities, wealthy, etc. They could get this done, heck do an Extreme Makeover!
