Talked to a coach who said Holmes had 4 guys finish in double figures and that New Rochelle was an extremely athletic team led by a D1 kid.

 

Definetly a statement win for Holmes going forward. I doubt they see too many teams in nky with as much athleticism and quickness as New Rochelle. They were #1 in the country two years ago.

 

Holmes improves to 8-0 and will play against tomorrow against Breathitt Co at EKY Expo Center at 2:30.

Holmes was 4-8 from outside and 30-38 from the FT line for 78%. New Rochelle was very aggressive defensively and never adjusted to the officiating.

Talked to Coach Booher and he was very excited about this win and the way his team played.

Beetle is a stud. He was made for big games. Saw it this past summer at some AAU games. Kid is unbelievable. I still feel he is the best player up here.

I don't think he is the best player...YET. But he is definetly making a strong case for it early on. I hate to talk up younger guys but this kid is absolutely putting on a show any time he steps on the floor. Easily top 3 in the region.

 

Really looking forward to the match up between him and Ruthsatz in a few weeks.

Haha... Idk yet. Two completely different styles. I said that I could see BB beating Holmes (on any given night), but that doesn't mean they are the best. It would be a great game to see and whichever team could impose their style of play would win. I do think both BB and Holmes are better than NCC, CCH and Cooper though.

This is a great win for Holmes and it looks like they have what it takes to make a serious run. I don't ever remember though when New Rochelle has been #1 in the country. I most definitely could be wrong but normally they are not even one of the top 2 or 3 teams in NY. Still an outstanding win for Holmes. I think this could be their year to get to the sweet sixteen, and once you get there you never know. Coach Booher has proved that once already in his career. Great Job!
