November 30, 201213 yr I realize my opinion is not the popular one, especially among this crowd. My opinion doesn't change, I think he over plays his injures. I think he has been schooled at the leftwitch school of heroism. My belief is simple, if you're tough enough to play on it you're tough enough to not show its injured. If you can't walk without a limp how can you scramble and make great throws... No denying he's talented, but I don't buy that he just shredded Rutgers with an ankle he could hardly walk on. I'm not a UofL fan. Partial to the Hurricanes myself. To say that he shouldn't be showing it hurts if he is playing on it is ridiculous. Adrenalin is powerful thing and so are things that they possibly did to his ankle behind the scenes. When Kurt Gibson hit the homerun off Eckersley he was limping pretty bad. Was he schooled on how to play it up? And if you actually watched him he was limping on the sideline and he was limping when he would try and scramble. As someone who has played injured many times, depending on the injury it's difficult not to let it show. Prime example of someone findig a reason to hate. Again...I'm the furthest thing from a Cards fan.

November 30, 201213 yr Well, I lambasted them for a good chunk of the season, so I guess it's only fair I give credit where it's due... what a night from the special teams. In addition to the huge fumble recovery on a kickoff that led to Louisville's second touchdown, several people had a nice game. John Wallace went 2/3 and his only miss was a 47-yarder that was right on line but short by mere inches. Ryan Johnson averaged 42 yards on his five punts and pinned Rutgers inside the 20 on four of them. Kickoff coverage, so awful for big chunks of the season, never let Rutgers get free, holding them to an average of 15 yards per return on Louisville's six kickoffs. Rutgers rarely started a drive any closer than their own 25 or 30 yard line. Great job and some huge contributions from this season's oft-maligned special teams.

Didn't ST give up a TD on a fake FG that was called back?
