I actually just watched the series for the first time about 2 months ago. My brother in law was thrashing me because I never seen em. I watched 4,5,6,1,2,3 order.

It should be a crime to go in I,II,III,IV,V,VI order. IV,V,VI you should............(in my best Yoda voice).

Because if he is young enough than the bright colors and overbearing special effects in 1, 2 and 3 will cloud his judgement and he will come away thinking they are good movies until many years later when he is old enough to understand story structure and he will hate himself for ever considering those three good.

IV V VI not really any question about it

 

Just show him the first 10 minutes of episode I...if at all

II has it's moments not total loss

III best of the prequals

While not up to the level of the original 3 I did enjoy the prequels but my taste in movies is questionable at best, I like Batman and Robin as well.

I hate to say it, but a film featuring a Bat Credit Card definitely disqualifies that.
