Scott county ran the ball at will and pretty much dominated the game. But one thing I got a problem with thou is a punk move by a Scott county player when return man Jared Swanson got hurt a Scott County player who had already tackled him wants to twist his knee and pop it on the bottom of the pile.Your a punk and I hope Trinity blows the doors off Scott County next week.

I mean its one thing to get hurt during a game cause sometimes injuries due happen but to intentionally hurt a player is a joke. Hope Mr.Swanson is alright word is he is getting a MRI done tomm and hopefully its not a torn Acl.

Wasn't at the game or any other one due to having to work. Either way, if this did happen, that is very cheap. Regardless, I believe your wish will come true for the Trinity game.

Scott County overwhelms Simon Kenton

Host Scott County ended any hopes of a Simon Kenton upset in the Class 6A quarterfinals by unleashing a 27-0 run spanning the second, third and fourth quarters in a 47-9 victory.

Four different Cardinals scored touchdowns in the run.

Simon Kenton won the possession battle 26:40-21:20, but the Cardinals made more efficient use of their time. The Cardinals (12-1) outgained the Pioneers (9-4) 422-221, including a 321-168 advantage on the ground.

Scott County's run game was led by senior running back Dieries Dumphord, who rushed 19 times for 159 yards and a 42-yard TD that got the Cardinals on the scoreboard at the 11:41 mark in the first quarter. Scott County wouldn't score again until the 11:30 mark in the second on a 14-yard Clay McKee pass to Scott Daniel.

Simon Kenton scored its first points in the second quarter on a 33-yard Tyler Smith field goal. Scott County answered with a Kevin Clausen 2-yard TD run to put the Cardinals up 20-3 entering the break.

Is the Internet out in Independence?

Simon Kenton had a good season. Work hard in the offseason boys and you'll be back playing in this game again.

Has anyone seen UK#1FAN? I hope he is not on a ledge somewhere. :D

Congrats to SC for the win (which is hard to type with all the unnecessary cheap shots they delivered last night). Good luck with the Rocks next week. Play them dirty, they may play you dirty right back.

This SK team flipped from a 2 win team as Sophs and Juniors to 9 wins as Juniors and Seniors. The cupboard isn't bare in Indy. Get back in the weight room and continue building the program- carry on the examples provided by the seniors that just gave all they had to the program.

Couldn't be any prouder of this group on seniors- continued success to each of you. EST.

Great season for the pioneers!

I agree, great season for the Pioneers, definately went a lot further than most on BGP had predicted. Good nucleus of kids coming back, should be exciting in six A next year with the emergence of Dixie and the continued improvement of CCHS, looking forward to some great games next year once district play starts.

Wish you wouldn't have combined these two sentiments. The last part is everything that you should be focused on. The SK boys certainly had a great and surprising year. They deserve a great deal of respect. Despite all the negative stuff here, I think any real NKY football fans were pulling for the SK team. Even though a few fans make it difficult to.

Congrats on a great season SK, keep it going in the right direction.

Sorry to hear that things got chippy in this game as I didnt see this type of play when SC played my team earlier in the season.

SC will have their hands full with T especially after the close call last nite with X.
