But I know who you're rooting for!

Oh yeah. I hope NewCath wins and believe they will convincingly. I just think Barty has done a lot of good things at WV.

I couldn't agree more.

I thought the same last year when HC came to town and the tide turned and HC beat NewCath in a close one. I feel Walton Verona will keep it close however NewCath will win in the end as long as they control tempo and the ball. I like NewCath in this one. JD

After Friday's game, where will the next round be played?

Somerset or Danville. I'm betting Somerset.

Don't know if you've watched both teams but their are no scenarios where this stays close. HC team last year had a bunch of athletes and big upfront and QB could make plays out of nothing. WV is way overmatched, hats off to them for getting to this point, they started playing just a couple years ago. "That's why you play the game" cliché only works when their is an outside chance.

Newport Catholic 38-6.

Not sure if you've seen Walton this year, but sounds like a scouting report of the Bearcats. Big up front, including D1 prospect #71 Mosier. #54 is an agile & aggressive guard, center is about 260 lbs, #55 another solid tackle. D-line has been outstanding all year. Athletes? I'd say #27 starts for any team in NKY, maybe all but a few teams in the state. #39 is explosive RB/LB. #8 is a great safety, and agile QB that makes plays with his legs and arm. The Bearcats need to bring their A game, but definitely capable. It would be an upset, but I wouldn't sleep on Walton.

Can Walton throw the ball effectively? If not, and their offense is one dimensional with a running attack, it doesn't bode well for them. Voice of Reason will attest to this ala the Beechwood offense.

Yep watched them play. It will be ugly.

If Walton doesn't show up it will only be 1-0 in the books. This might be their strategy for the week? I do like Walton's chances this week a lot better than Lloyd's.

Yes they can with the qb change they made after the first Lloyd game. They will never mistaken for Air Coryell for they throw enough to be effective.

Only if Walton makes mistakes(fumbling, interceptions, penalties etc).
