Clyde - Love the pic as it is now my desktop on my computer, but I aslo found a few articles on it when I was trying to find a way to save the picture. Basically it was taken back in Sept. 'The 3rd Infantry Regiment used Twitter to clarify that the picture was not actually taken on Monday during Hurricane Sandy but in mid-September. However, the regiment -- the oldest active-duty infantry regiment in the Army -- is also on Facebook and posted several photos of soldiers guarding the Tomb on Monday.'

I was listening to my police scanner from New York City...total chaos there already. Already significant flooding and people being rescued.
All one had to do was watch the History Channel, or was it Discovery, to see about what will happen when a hurricane strikes near NYC, and this is only a 1! BUT, NO ONE listens.

People being rescued? After they were ordered to leave? We have a thread on that exact topic.

Never mind photo was fake.

I don't know if this photo is legit or not but it's crazy.

I'm guessing no.

Uhh, No!

It's from some movie. I've never been to NY obviously or I would have known. I tried to delete the evidence but you quoted it before I could. :D

It's from some movie.
As I told someone last summer when they posted a doctored pic of a huge tornado. First look at snoops.com, or wait until you see it on the major networks or news outlets. :)

I looked right after I posted it , I figured it was fake but Erin Andrews (from David Ortiz) RTed, women....

I was just getting ready to post that myself. Awesome dedication - true to the definition of the word "awesome".

Apparently this was taken in September, not today.

Missed that someone pointed this out on the first page, my bad. With that being said, is this just the beginning or a terrible fall/winter season?

I watched a time elapsed video from NASA from over the weekend, NOT including today....the coolest part is night falling over the country. The storm itself was still offshore, packing on some power. Good luck to those on the East Coast.
