I can't recall what the Cardinals' record is in elimination games of late, but it is stupid good.

They've won 6 in a row:

2 NLDS vs Phillies

2 World Series vs Rangers

1 Wild Card Play-In Game vs Braves

1 NLDS vs Nats

Meanwhile the Giants have won 5 in a row this postseason. So something is going to give tonight.

I don't put anything into these numbers because it involves completely different teams, but the Cardinals are 11-4 all time in Game 7's while the Giants are 0-5. The Giants won a Game 7 100 years ago against Boston but lost Game 8 (Read that tweet from Peter Gammons).

Also - I believe I saw the home team that wins Game 6 to force Game 7 is 13-1 in Game 7.

So many numbers out there. It all just comes down to the guys out there playing tonight. The only thing I know is neither team is going to be taken back by the situation.

Well I hated to see the Birds go down but I really can't complain to much as it has been a geat ride this year and last that was far beyond anything I could have ever expected

Completely agree
