I didn't see the hit that knocked Jet out so I can't offer an opinion.

 

I will say Simon had at least one other personal foul.

SIMON KENTON 38, BOONE COUNTY 24 – With the score tied at 14, the Pioneers shut down a fourth and goal at their one yard line then scored 24 unanswered points.

 

Two plays after that goal line stand on a sneak three minutes into the fourth quarter, junior quarterback Brenan Kuntz rolled out and threw to junior Grant Wassom at midfield.

 

Wassom made the catch and ran the rest of the way for a 95-yard touchdown to put Simon Kenton ahead for good.

 

Kuntz completed 12 of 24 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns, and Wassom caught three passes for 122 yards and one score.

 

Senior Jacob Huesman added five receptions for 71 yards for Simon Kenton.

I'm sure many had a closer vantage point since I stood about 200 feet from the hit but Jett looked to be on his stomach and was on the verge of getting up when the player hit the back of his knee. Being that far away I though either the ball may have been lost or he had been been pushed by an offensive player. I hope the kid is OK, he was very vulnerable.
