Well I can only speak on Cooper's behalf. My boy siad it wasn't anything like that. He said there was no intimidation thing at all, they simply went that way because it was the shortest route to where they were supposed to run through the tunnel at. If it was an initimidation thing thenn as they ran by Conner's team they would of said things to the players, nothing was said and they didn't run through the players or anything like that. They simply wwent to their corner of the endzone to run through the tunnel. Unsportsman like...that is funny. Sorry, but ripping helmets off players is a little more unsportsmann like than a team going to the corner of the endzone they have to to run through their tunnel. Glass houses and all.

 

As I said, if they wanted to intimidate, they would of talked trash to Conner's players aas they went to the endzone. I think what is bush league is people who think doing what they did is bush league. I have a little advice for you all if you don't like that other teams have to do to get to their corner of the endzone, change sidelines or move your lockerooms. How about that? While you are at it, how about fixing the visitors dugout at your baseball field also so the visiting team doesn't have to sit in right field.

 

I garuntee you one thing, and I wasn't at the game last night. I garuntee you Ryle didn't take that route to their tunnel to intimidate, just as Cooper didn't last week. I tthink you and RE have been watching too many Miami Hurricane games from the 80''s on ESPN Classics lol

They walked down their sidelines, across the goal line, toward Conner's sidelines, and then down the conner sideline, then ran towards their sidelines FROM THE CONNER SIDELINE.. I have a great suggestion for you, especially since you all allow everyone and their brother on the sidelines before and during the games so you should have enough people to do this. Why not tell the other team the route they need to take before the game to run through their cheerleading tunnel. Wow what a concept, to actually tell visiting teams the path they should take so they don't get confused and actually take the shortest path so not to get any of the Conner fans panties in a bunch.

About the multi million dollar construction plan, well if it upsets the faint of heart so much that teams actually have to walk by the Conner sidelines before the game, and seeing how much it has upset you andd a couple others on here, it would apparently be money well spent. Then you all could actually sleep well at night instead of having nightmares about how Cooper and Ryle actually walk by the Conner sidelines. I'd call it Dr. Phil's solution to Conner's continued nightmares.

 

Also, you should really get out to more games than just 2 in the past 10 years. I've been to many Conner games over the years, long before Cooper was even a school and seen the same thing plenty of times and no one cried about it because there was nothing wrong.

My thougts on the game. Ryle got lucky on a couple of plays. The interception was thrown right to the Ryle linebacker and he did a good job catching it and taking it into the endzone. As for the ball that bounced off of the WR helmet and into the hands of the other Ryle WR was lucky. LUCK IS GOOD. The Ryle defense could not not stop Barker. Barker did a good job with the read option and when he kept it, Ryle could not stop him. Barker ran right up the middle. Whomever had resposibilty to cover the QB on the option play did not do their job. The Ryle offense was.....well....typical Ryle offense. Hand it left, hand it right and hope the RB breaks through the hole. There does not appear to be much strategy, does not appear that they are calling plays to set up other plays....They have not true speed on offense.....As for running on the field through a tunnel? How is that even a topic of conversation.....why waste key strokes on something so meaningless.....I am not sure that any plyers on either team is intimated. This is high school football...intimated?...If you don't believe me ask them....really?

What is funny is I just talked to my son this morning (we are getting ready to go to the JV game at Beechwood) and he said last week they didn't even run through Conner's sideline. They came out and was heading to their endzone and the Conner Cheerleaders kept moving their tunnel so they had to re-direct across the field and went away from conner's sideline and on thier side of the field right to the goal line and then went through their own tunnel. so Cooper never even went on Conner's sideline at all. As far me and many other people who could care less didn't pay attention so it apparently seems that some Conner fans made the entire episode up lol. That makes it even funnier than if Cooper actually did run across Conner's sideline lol. This is classic!!!

Ryle was very respectful in how they handled the run on to the field and in no way ran through Conner cheerleaders or band. It was a hard fought game with two equally matched teams. Barker was the difference maker. Congrats to Conner on winning a very close game!

Cooper was also very respectful. When they were trying to take the field they were blocked by the Conner cheerleaders so went around and had to take the fieeld from the 25 yard line. Much diffrent than what was said by the Conner folks on here who claimed Cooper ran through the Conner sideline to get to the endzone. But to tell you the truth, when some Conner fans are still wading in the pool of Jealousy towards the Cooper team who for the second year in a row will finish better in the district than Conner I guess they need to make crap up to take care of their whiney ways.

I understand that the visitor's locker room is at the same end of the field that Conner comes out of.. For years, and I mean years (10+) of watching games at Connr High School, I have never seen a team do what Cooper did last week, and what Ryle did last night. They came to the Conner side lines, i'm talking sidelines, within 15 feet of the conner players and have their little banner held by the cheerleaders to run through. Teams are to come out of seperate sides of the field, or if they must run out of the same endzone, the opposing team can stay on their side of the field and run out. There is zero reason to come to the other sidelines other than to try to make some sort of point. In my opinion, it's a very unsportsmanlike move, and shouldn't be tolerated.. Well, I guess it wasn't tolerated, becasue both teams that did it got beat. I'll say this, in my playing days, if a team would have pulled a stunt like that, there's no question that there would be flags thrown before the game started.

If they did what is common sense then some of their fans would have nothing to whine about. I swear I think the next Conner game I go to I may bring a case of depends to hand out to a few of their fans before hand. To think this is even an issuee....I correct myself, it's not an issue...but for a few Conner fans that make the rest of thier fans look bad is really sad.

 

I can't wait until they start crying about other schools they go to that you are able to actually get your concessions without standing in line for an hour like at Conner. They will be upset because they can actually watch more of the game instead of staddning in line for a coke for an hour.
