Clyde Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I haven't watched SK so I do not know what type of offense they run. My guess is both are essential. Lots of teams' offense today is centered around the QB. Boone and Ryle would be exceptions.
uk#1fan Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Kuntz tends to stay in the pocket and find somebody open if it is not there he throws it away. He has the speed to scramble also.

Do they have designed runs for him? Drew has about 2100 total yards of offense in 6 games and it's about 1300 passing and 700 to 800 rushing.
RomanEmpire Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Compare their rushing and passing yardage. End of story. Which player is more complete? Kuntz is one dimensional while Barker will hurt your team in multiple ways. If there was a HS fantasy draft, who would you take? Easy answer.

The question is not who is better, but who is more essential to their team. Kuntz does not play with a candidate for Mr. Football in Kentucky. Barker has such a player who can pick the team up if he is not playing well.

Clyde Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I so hope SK plays Conner next year! What is your point in this thread?
mexitucky Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 This is actually a good thread and question. I was very, very impressed with Kuntz and his willingness to be patient while scrambling. He throws a great ball. If SK lost him, they would be in deep, deep trouble offensively. The fact that Conner has no defense to speak of and needs every yard that Barker throws or runs for to win makes me feel that he is more essential. SK's D would keep them in games normally. You can't say that for Conner. I think that outweighs that Fogle could almost single handedly score, b/c if you take away Barker, all focus goes on him. Barker is more essential.

Can SK win without passing? If not, I'd say they are equally essential.
