I would assume people would be standing during a playoff game. I would HOPE Reds' fans would be standing and being as loud as possible for as long as possible.

there should be no expectation of plan rudeness when you go to a public event. People who feel the need to stand all through concerts and games are thoughtless and selfish. If you were one of those people who purchased a ticket , but couldn't see because some giant is standing the whole time, you'd be mad too. There's a time when standing is appropriate...but it is a SHORT time.

 

You know I just wish that some of you had to change places with some of my guy's that I work with each day, then maybe, just maybe, you would understand what it's like, to only to be able to see the back of someone standing in front of you and not the field. Of course they understand that you get excited and stand up and there is no problem with that but to stand and stand and stand blocking their view is just plain being rude!

Every single person that is at the game in the seats, save for those in the specialially designated handicapped areas, are capable of standing. It's part of the playoff atmosphere. If you don't wanna be a part of that atmosphere, you should stay home, that way you can sit all you want.

Dusty made his only bad decision of the playoffs thus far. Should've walked Arias to get to the pitcher spot and force the Giants to use their last bench player. Of course, he hit a groundball to 3B but it was probably the right move, especially with a gimp at 2B.

 

 

Reds manager Dusty Baker is all about playing the matchups. But with Game 3 of the National League Division Series in jeopardy Tuesday night, it was the move Baker didn't make that brought up questions Wednesday. Giants runners advanced to second and third after a passed ball squeaked by Ryan Hanigan in the top of the 10th inning, leaving first base unoccupied. With two outs and Jonathan Broxton on the mound, Baker opted to pitch to the No. 8 hitter Joaquin Arias instead of walking him to get to the pitcher's spot and load the bases.

The move would have forced San Francisco to use its last position player -- Hector Sanchez -- and remove Sergio Romo from the game.

"In that situation, we knew that Arias was good against left-handers, and not that good of a hitter against right-handers," Baker said Wednesday. "Plus you had a chance to get Romo out of the game, but you had a dangerous pinch-hitter in Sanchez up next, he gets a hit or home run or whatever it is, Sanchez is a very good hitter. I don't want to put my pitcher in that situation."

Arias is hitting .270 on the year and .240 against right-handers, while Sanchez, a switch-hitter, is batting .280 with a .266 average against righties.
