Isnt this the same Dougherty kid that starts Varsity for the Birds on Friday nites? Not that I have a problem with him playing down or anything, it really doesnt bother me or anything that he dominates at the Frosh level and is a game changer or anything,

He dresses as the back-up kicker.... Since when does a Freshman play down as a Freshman? The kid had a great game just as Hergott and Kendall (which none of them would have without the Line doing an exceptional job btw) Did he dominate? Not any more than the others...

Let me re-phrase... JD is an awesome player... I just wanted to give the Line some much earned accolades after the beating they have taken in the past...

I was very impressed with Hergott's speed on his first long TD run. He immediately left eveybody way behind.

 

HHS isn't going to fool you. "They run, run, run."

 

And "run" they do well.... Looks like the only way a receiver is going to get involved in a passing game is to start playing corner on defense or transfer. Still amazes me that opposing defenses even cover the receivers... At this point, put your fastest two players at safety and 9 in the box seems to be about the only thing that might stop them...

Question... Did Highlands score 55 or 54 points in this frosh game? I have read conflicting information.

They scored 55. Made 7 extra points and went for 2 when kicker was out with physical issue at the time.
