September 23, 201214 yr Author What in the world was Newman thinking? Don't let the idiot announcers influence you. There was 1st touching by the punting team. Newman could have picked up the ball, and fumbled it, and the Bengals still could have taken the ball where it was 1st touched. There was no risk at all him trying to grab the ball, and run with it.
September 23, 201214 yr What in the world was Newman thinking? He wasnt but I think by rule it would still be Bengals ball if WAS recovered after he touched the ball.
September 23, 201214 yr Author He wasnt but I think by rule it would still be Bengals ball if WAS recovered after he touched the ball. Sure it would have been, that's why there was no risk to do what he did. Wasn't stupid at all.
September 23, 201214 yr Sure it would have been, that's why there was no risk to do what he did. Wasn't stupid at all. What was the point? He was literally diving at the ball on the 2 yard line. He wasn't going to pick it up and run with it.
September 23, 201214 yr Author AJ Green's a stud. Yes, he is too. The Bengals have some serious weapons on offense.
September 23, 201214 yr Now the D needs to come through. I still don't like 3 points missing for the scoreboard
September 23, 201214 yr Author What was the point? He was literally diving at the ball on the 2 yard line. He wasn't going to pick it up and run with it. He tried to pick it up on the run, missed it, then dove at it. Either way there was no risk at all involved. The announcers had no idea what they were talking about.
September 23, 201214 yr The Redskins think too highly of Hall to leave him without help on Green. Costs them.
September 23, 201214 yr Sure it would have been, that's why there was no risk to do what he did. Wasn't stupid at all. The question is did Newman know that rule?
September 23, 201214 yr Author Now the D needs to come through. I still don't like 3 points missing for the scoreboard Could very well be a game decider.
