Hofbrau House,Wertheims , Loved Grammers in OTR years ago but Tarbell bought it and ruined a great restuarant

 

Mecklenburg Gardens is great too.

Been to and like both the Hofbrau and Wertheims. I'm thinking I've been to Mecklenburg Gardens years ago. If it's the place I'm thinking of it was pretty solid.

Hmm, that's not ringing a bell. Maybe it wasn't Mecklenburg Gardens. Now I have to check it out!

The thai place on the avenue in Bellevue is pretty good. My parents love Rio in Newport. My dad calls it cheap Mexican.

Just came across this thread. For what it's worth, there's only one other African cuisine restaurant in greater Cincinnati...it's up on Vine in Wyoming. The name escapes me, but it's a great little lunch place. I think lunch plates are only like $6.00.

 

Other places I like: Miyako Japanese in Crescent Springs, Kyojin In Mason, Wunderbar! (German) on Lee Street in Covington, Mai Thai in Florence is pretty good, Siam Orchid's not bad either. There's Andy's Mediterranean in Walnut Hills, and there's apparently a Mediterranean place out in Erlanger that's pretty solid. Ambar India in Clifton is great...and they own Guru in Crescent Springs as well, so I'd have to assume that Guru is good.

Favorite Chinese carry-out is Golden Wok in Burlington.

Would it be Teranga? Heard of it but haven't had the pleasure as of yet.

 

I've been to Miyako, really like it!

LaBadiya is the Mediterranean place in Erlanger, haven't been disappointed yet.

Andy's is good as well, the owner is a really fun guy.

I love both Guru and Ambar India!

How does Wunderbar compare to the other German restaurants in the area?

Rio is my favorite for Mexican, Anita's (newly opened in the old Frisch's in Fort Thomas) is pretty good as well.

 

I believe Siam Orchid is the Thai place in Bellevue that CWB mentioned. I have to try that, wondering if it's better than Mae Ploy in Highland Heights.
