Monroe County 28 Glasgow 0

Featured Replies

Monroe has played up to their potential the last two weeks. If they keep rolling they'll find theirselves in great position come playoff time.

This game was all Monroe!!! Interesting fact about this Falcon squad...they have yet to give up a rushing TD. They are a very solid defensive unit. Warren east scored through the air and special teams, Barren scored on a blocked punt/td. Metcalfe scored air attack bomb.

My Question to everyone about Monroe....how are they doing in 3a?

the falcons and South Warren will be a battle in three weeks.

I believe the game against South Warren will be the one that proves Monroe losing to Warren East was as much to do with Monroe playing bad as it was to East playing good... I think Monroe is 2 TD's better than SW at this point... Monroe has played great football the last two games and the defense has been spectacular, it's looking like the game against SW will decide the district championship and the all important #1 seed...

South Warren is on a role this season but they should have the numbers and turn out to build a really good squad. They have an enrollment to move up some classes and have a wonderful new sports complex. Glad to see a new program start doing well soon.

Glasgow may have trouble with Green in their district. Offensively the Scotties was not very productive last night. Monroe moved the ball with ease and really only ran 4 to 5 plays that Glasgow just could not stop. I was really shocked that the game was so one sided. The games between these two programs are always very physical and extremely exciting, but not last nights. Jacob Hodges at fullback really just crushed them and Chad Wilson had no problem maneuvering around at all. Defensively....the Falcons just plain shut it down!!!

Good Win Falcons!!!!

This score surprised me. Not who won but the margin. Glasgow has been a tough team to read this year. I knew they lost a lot on offense and I think it showed last night when they played a good team. The loss to Warren East definately doesn't look bad at this point.

Don't sleep on South Warren. They were bit by the turnover bug in the early weeks and have seemed to have righted the ship -- they shutout a good and athletic Russellville team and hammered Edmonson County last night. South Warren and Monroe should be a real good game

Really? East won that game at Monroe's place and never trailed on the scoreboard in the game. East led by a two TD margin for most of the second half until a late KOR by Wilson and took a knee at Monroe's 18 yardline for the last minute and a half of the game.

Monroe has two excellent players in Hodges and Wilson and some very good O-linemen as well as a stout run D, but don't try and play that "L" off as Monroe played poorly. I would argue that that game was where Monroe really found its niche offensivly and has catapulted the Falcons into a VERY dominant offense. If anything, I would say that Monroe played about as well as they could have in their game against East.

I love this! I can say this about East n Monroe...Monroe DID NOT play as well as they could. In fact statistically they played their poorest game of the season. I am glad for the loss though, it awoke the Beast within!

Like I said, as this season plays out I think the East loss will look like one that got away from Monroe. I assure you that was not the best Monroe could've played. But it's all pointless banter, East won and was the better team, but like I said earlier I feel when Monroe plays South Warren a different picture will be painted.

In the last four meetings East is 4-0 against the Falcons. I guess they just don't play well against the Raiders. This game was just one more of those "down" games for Monroe and once again failed to reveal which was the better team.

I'm not sure I see a reason to believe that Monroe is 2 TDs better than South Warren at this point. Look across the board at South Warren's schedule and you'll see that they're playing 30-40 points better against each and every opponent than they did last year. Monroe's distinct advantage over South Warren will be the experience of being in a situation where they're playing for a district title - it'll be interesting to see how South Warren handles the nerves that night. It is at South Warren, so that can't hurt the Spartans.

I personally think Glasgow is a bit of a paper tiger at this point. Bullitt Central is probably their best win, but they were unimpressive in beating Barren County and should've lost to Allen County-Scottsville. I think they'll lose 2 of their next 3.

I agree that Glasgow is not all that this year. And I feel East was better than Monroe this year, at least they played better. What I was saying is that it was not the Falcons better look.

I fear South Warren a little bit. I think they are going to shock some teams this year...this is going to be a great ballgame!

It's real simple really... put me down now saying Monroe beats south Warren by 2 TD's or more...

Glasgow will continue to be exposed, but will be tough come playoff time...

East is a good football team...
