Is Belfry too high or too low?

Are we missing anyone?

Interesting, Edmonson County loses to 5A Grayson County 13-15 at home, and moves into the Top 10

The GOLDEN LIONS gotta be in there somewhere. No RESPECT!

I thought the same thing. Not to sound like a homer, but I would have likely inserted Garrard County into that #10 spot ahead of Edmonson County.

Edmonson's wins have came over McLean County (2A with a huge losing streak) and Muhlenberg County (very weak 6A), while losing a close game to a solid 5A club in Grayson County. Garrard County, on the other hand, has a win over a decent 5A team in Clay County along with a win over a marginal 2A club in Lloyd Memorial. Their sole loss was a one possession defeat to a solid 5A club in Anderson County.

Now that can certainly all change in a week, but based solely upon resume's, I think Garrard's wins look better than Edmonson's. Perhaps Garrard's lack of offensive firepower relative to last season has caused some to shy away from promoting the Golden Lions?

For those making a case for Garrard, how would you rank the following 5 teams:

Corbin

Edmonson Co

Garrard Co

Monroe Co

Russell

I think Belfry is about right... you can certainly argue that you can flip/flop them and Tilghman either way.

Though I think Belfry and PT are probably going to be as good, if not better then Bell and Breathitt by season's end, I think it is going to be hard for either to replace them in the rankings throughout the regular season due to their respective schedules. There shouldn't be any team on Bell or Breathitt's schedule that they shouldn't beat by 2TD+.

Stil, 3A's Top 5 is very, very strong.

I still think Ft. Campbell is the sleeper of the group. The Falcons have been one of the better programs in the state over the past decade and they aren't getting a lot of love. Bourbon County has proven themselves as well. I think both of these schools are distancing themselves from the other 3A teams and threatening to be in the mix with the vaunted Top 5.

For those making a case for Garrard, how would you rank the following 5 teams:

Corbin

Edmonson Co

Garrard Co

Monroe Co

Russell

Corbin should be 2-1 at the worst right now, but teams that make crucial mistakes and turnovers at inopportune times tend to lose close games, so they do not really deserve to be ranked right now. They completely revamped the offense before last week's game and are still trying to establish an offensive identity, but they will have more opportunities to move up in the next few weeks with games vs. Danville, Wayne Co. and Bell Co. coming up.

One thing for certain, you cannot knock Corbin's schedule. Very tough.
