Logan Salow from Ashland.....joining UK baseball team

Agree on Trey Ganns. Kid can be really good this year. Hard thrower and a lefty, right?

Yep, that's him. IMO he's going to be a good one.

Out of the kids I have seen Pitch these would be my tops, not discounting the ones I didn't see. Don't want to get anything started.

Brown - Lloyd (Senior, has strong arm and good command)

Suchanek - Beechwood (Junior, very strong arm and good command)

Maines - Conner (Senior, has strong arm and good command)

Ganns - Boone (Junior, very strong arm and but needs some work on a breaking ball)

Dunn - Cooper (Junior, very strong arm, very good breaking stuff, needs to attack zone more)

Hoard - Ryle (Senior, strong arm, with very good breaking stuff)

The Juniors out of this list I would say have the strongest arms overall and with think they would be close to mid 80's consistantly. Top outs for them would be 86-87. Dunn has topped out as high as 90. I would say the Seniors listed would be close to mid 80's also, just don't know if they have the arms the Juniors listed do.

I need to get out more to see some of these other kids Cain and Tiberi.

Please remember these are just opinions base off what I have seen of these particular kids.

You need to get out and see Cain.Without a doubt the best senior in the region.Just has great composer on the mound. He is in our district and I have seen him since he was a freshman. Also Maines if he can control his emotions can be very effective.Hoard has a great curveball but sometimes can get a little wild.Dunn from Cooper has a great fastball but a good hitter can adjust.Brown from Lloyd has a good arm but his breaking and off speed stuff are weak and he cant get a good hitter out.Remember these are just opinions of what I have seen.

I agree with getting out and seeing Cain. Maines, Hoard and Brown are the other Seniors which I feel IMO are not as good as the Juniors I mentioned. With Dunn being the only Junior you mentioned, the fastball is up there, but his breaking ball is sick. You must not be aware of it, so he would be much harder to hit, even to a good hitter.

Dunn may be one of the hardest throwers in the area, and like you said his breaking ball is wicked. He has another breaking ball he throws every once in awhile that looks like he's throwing a whiffle ball that is as nasty as it can get. the only problem with that pitch is his delivery to throw that pitch is so different from his normal delivery it is easy for the hitter to know what is coming which is why he seldom uses it. But when he does it will boggle your mind.

I remember watching him warming up before a game last year at Dixie and I thought he was throwing a whiffle ball it broke so much. I'd love for him to work on that pitch to disguise it more this year. For a right handed batter it literally starts off behind the batter and breaks right over for a strike. The batter needs some serious discipline not to buckle at the knees and stand in there to hit it especially knowing the pitcher you are facing can throw in the 90's.

When did Dunn start throwing in the 90's? I watched him throw several times and don't recall him throwing in the 90's

I heard it was in a bullpen session...

I heard bullpen also. He was only in 1 showcase that I know to date and he was 85-86 without a top out speed listed. I do know that he played injured all summer and even in that showcase he was injured.

Jordan Martin from Harrisom County is also one of the best pitchers in the state. He compiled an 8-1 record during school ball and went 5-0 in the summer playing with the Cincinnati Spikes.

I agree he should be strong.

Could have been. I just remember getting a note that he broke 90 about a month back. Yes you are correct, he played injured throughout summer ball. I'm hoping he's had time to recover before the season starts.

Dunn for Cooper, word is, had a great workout at EKU's showcase today. Had a lot of scouts talking as he pitched today. Hit 88 mph and was avg'ng 85-86 with a sick breaking ball. Struck out 3 batters and had a soft dribbler back to the mound against the 4 batters he faced.

Kuebbing (St. Henry), Ganns (Boone Co.) and Dunn (Cooper) all threw the ball very well. The other highest speed of the day was 84 from 4 kids which Kuebbing was one of the 4.
