Trinity Football Banquet

Featured Replies

I,ve been to a few Banquets at other schools and have heard other people talk about their banquets and you know other players around the state really love and care for their coaches and the coaches actually love and care for their players also.

Really, thats interesting, I'll have to make a note of this..... :thumb:

Had a good time today at the banquet. Good to see some fellow BGPers there. Congrats to the award winning Rocks! What an awesome video put together by Scott Scinta and Smash Graphics. I guess that officially ends the season.... one last round of applause for the State Champs! :dancingpa[/QU

Nevermind I will be a nice guy and keep it to myself!

Is your point to soil a great experience and banquet for us? It won't work, so please try elsewhere.

Boy times are slow on the Football site, Come on August!!!! :D

LSU, just having some fun with the Rocks. Thats why they call them Championships. Once you win one no one can take it away from you...I know about them, Bama has won 12 and I still cherish each one. Male has theres in late February or early March, don't know why its so late after the season.

Same here Larry, note the  .

I saw a few of those Bama championship teams.

I love that they have gone back to showing a highlight film...

I think there is a little local politics involved that cause some of the Trinity guys to want to make sure that everyone knows how they feel about Coach Beatty. Some of our ex-men brothers seem to find it necessary to paint Beatty as a guy that parents and players can't stand. You hear hints of it on this board and it is much stronger in private conversations. My sons enjoyed playing for Coach Beatty and have a great deal of respect for him. I think that the negative whisper campaign has its origins in two things. First Coach Beatty is not a warm and fuzzy guy. If you ask him something you will get a straight answer with no sugar coat. The second thing is that x has a lot of trouble beating him on the field, even when they have better talent. You know the old adage, "If you can't beat them, spread rumours about them".

Very well said. If you can't beat him , start up trash about him. It happened to Coach Lampley also. I suppose he gave Coach Beatty the heads up on those cheap shots that would come from those childish jealous games that some people have to play.My sons also enjoyed Coach Beatty. From what I hear he doesn't go around to grade schools telling 8th graders to come to play for him because his rival will never win one in their 4 years of high school if they go there. In fact , if he did something like that , the Trinity administration would probably take him to task. However , it is not the intent of some others to always have and show class. I have never heard Coach Beatty say a bad word about any program that has discipline and a little class, even though they may never direct any class toward him or his team. Coach Beatty is a better man than football coach, and for someone who has won 4 out of 5 state championships, that speaks A LOT! :thumb:

Per AD, 480 were expected at $20.00 per head. It was held in the Grand Ball Room of the Galt House East Hotel. It was to begin at 12:30PM and ended just past 5:00PM. People were still there at 5:30PM when I decided to make my exit.

Any word on where any of the senior football players are going to college besides Eric Senn??? If so..will any play football?
