Rowan-Hard team to figure 10. Raceland-Hard fought win over Lewis 11. East-Trying to regroup 12. Fleming-Nice win over Rowan 13. Rose Hill-Potential spoiler this year 14. Lewis-Lions now up to 4 wins 15. Menifee-Cats still struggling 16. Bath-Battle of the Wildcats in the cellar Have at it boys.
Frances Bavier Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I don't see anything out of line. You could make an argument that Fairview is hotter than a three dollar pistol, and might be right there with Morgan. Do these two play each other this year? Frances
Cubster Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Morgan defeated them in early December in EKC finals.
Uncle Jed Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I think your selling Elliot Co. short. They and possibley Greenup Co. should be ranked above Ashland. Ashland has a worse record and they have only beaten teams that they should have beaten. They have not proven they can beat Elliot, Greenup, or even Rowen Co. What is Ashland's ranking based on?
AtLeast Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 They are still up there in the region. They have the hardest schedule in the region. Add one of the top coaches in the region......they will be there at the end.... Elliott plays no defense. They aren't a contender in my book.
Uncle Jed Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I agree they have one of the hardest schedules in the state. I also agree they have talent and a good coach. But they have not beaten anybody. I think Elliot has the potential of getting beat by anybody in the region. But as of 1/8/06 they have played better. If this poll is about who will be there in the end then why do it every week. Just do one and let that be it.
Blue Blazer Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Cubster, The Raceland Rams have 2 wins this season over the Rowan Co. Vikings. I might flipflop those 2 teams everything else looks good.
Rickyp Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I can't find anything wrong with the Cubsters rankings. You could possibly switch a team or two but that's always the case.
Cubster Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Elliott just lost by 18 to Rowan thus I moved Elliott down some and Rowan up some. Rowan and raceland could be flipflopped but Raceland had a dogfight with a struggling Lewis County team/ You could really throw top 10-12 in a hat and draw them out.
shooterx3 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Cubster knows his stuff, my only improvement would be to move Rose Hill up a couple of notches, probally right after elliot county, those 8th graders are coming on strong, and Russell has yet to play a game at full strength, but it is about time for their move up the charts :thumb:
Uncle Jed Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 1 through 3 have set themselves apart from the others. The rest can win or lose on any night. I just think rankings should be made based on performance. Give teams credit for winning.
Cubster Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 What did Elliott do this weak? Beat East by 4 and lose by 18 to Rowan County?
Uncle Jed Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 What did Ashland do this weak? I am not an Elliot Co. supporter. I'm just trying to be fair.
Cubster Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Lost to #2 team in region and a top 10 team in the state.
