The Bobcats visit the Knights in a rematch of last years season opener. Its another game of 'the Mountains vs. the City'.

 

Will the city boys keep focused with their national debut coming up and get the win on their home turf? Or do the boys from Log Mountain avenge a close lose at home last year?

I think LexCath is going to be great this season. Really great. And I mean that with all due respect to my friends in Bell County. LexCath and Kyle Bolin scare me this year. I'll take LexCath in this one.

I like Lex Cath. 33-20.

I am holding my breath on this game. At home and a victory last year may lead to overconfidence by the Knights. Also the nationally televised game is next week and that has generated most of the pre-season buzz and distracted the focus from this game. So even if LexCath is better team this has 'trap game' written all over it.

 

And that is not to take away from Bell County who come in with lots of seniors and an excellent team. I had the pleasure of meeting Corey Oslonian and William Elliott as 8th graders at the FBU All-American bowl. They have done well for the Bobcats.

I'm going with Lexington Catholic.

LC starts another year with a stable of athletes. Bell Co will be a good early test of where we are, and we'll get a bigger one next week. Catholic's resources look very good-QB is solid and experienced, the running backs are fast and capable, a good bunch of receivers and an ever-improving line...the defense can be scored on but they will get better as the season progresses..good man (Letton) at the helm. I see LC taking this first game and am looking forward to a great season..(I know, be careful what you wish for-I would love to have a rematch for the region against Highlands, but that's a long way off..got to play them one at a time)
