Alice Lloyd head baseball coach, Scott Cornett is going to the high school ranks and taking over the Knott County Central position. This is the second Alice Lloyd coach to leave, Gary Hammond left to take over June Buchanan's head coaching position

The Beastmaster is headed to Knott Central! In all seriousness, Cornett has been at ALC around 20 years. Seemed like a great guy when I was there. Wish him the best.

I was told he turned this offer down. Any update on this?

That is a trainwreck. He accepted the job then backed out.

Good move on his part....nobody can win at KCC....too much outside involvement

Cavanaugh Trent has been named Knott County Central head coach for the 2013 season

Can a Mod please edit the title and replace Scott Cornett with Cavanaugh Trent?

Cavanaugh is a good choice, as well. :thumb:

Done.

Cavanaugh Trent...where did he go to high school? Did he play in the state tournament? I remember that name, but not sure from where.

I remember him playing basketball at Dilce Combs in 1993, winning All A State.

That's it. :thumb:

He's also the AD at Knott County Central. By the way, Thanks RP :thumb:
