Where is Fransley? What HS does this MS feed?

Jefferson County, they feed PRP mostly, but JCPS is open enrollment. I know 3 kids from that farnsley team are going to Male and 2 to ballard I think.

Ryle is reaping the benefits of the feeder program they started 3 years ago. They had, I believe, three 8th grade teams last year that all practice on their campus. Their feeder program is all about building the high school program which feeds no other school. I have heard parents say that they have to sign statements (unenforceable) committing their kids to playing at Ryle to be in the feeder. Very different philosophy that the Fort Thomas League.

If it's not enforceable, then is it worth the paper it's written on? Who wouldn't sign it? Maybe it's just another form of "water-boarding". :D

Very Close, They had an 8th grade team and a 7th grade team that played other MS teams in State. They also had a combined 8/7 team that consisted of mostly kids that had never played football before that competed in the NKY youth league. They parents do have to sign statements that state they live in Ryle district and will attend Ryle High School.

I believe this is the type of feeder relationship a (public) High School program has to have in order to compete with the private programs.

Ok, not sure I follow you here but ok.

The relationship between the feeder and the high school is very tight. Kids are expected to attend Ryle and only Ryle. Compare that to NKYFL or BCPWFL where they state that they have no ties to a HS program.

I don't think I'm completely sold on the "feeder" program as the reason for a team being successful. I think it's more about having the Jimmy's and Joe's.

From the public program perspective, more like holding on to the Jimmy's and Joe's.

No interest in the varsity scrimmage? :D

By all means, feel free to talk about it. I just know a kid on the freshman team so I decided to see what everyone thinks about the scrimmage.

Just to let you know TVC51 this Frosh class is going to be one of the largest Frosh classes in over 20 years at CovCath. Was total 153 incoming Frosh this year and the current 8th grade class at the feeder Catholic Schools are boy dominated too!

That's just male students to the school correct? not a freshman football class of 153?

153? YIKES That's a lot of bingo workers.

My boys had an avg by time they graduated of about 110.
