I stand by my pick and happy to welcome David Akers to the squad. Don't need a QB, not happy with RB's that are available, probably won't draft a TE, and don't care much for DEF.

It's not the kicker that you drafted that makes it a bad pick. It's when you drafted the kicker. Probably could have got him several rounds later.

 

And if he is your only consistent player other than Breed you are in trouble :lol:

Yeah, I know that it was early. I obviously need another RB, but didn't feel like taking a flier on a guy with that pick which is pretty much what anyone is doing at this point on RB. Rather take a premier player at a position.

 

Plus, I'm not denying that's a heart pick. Only active NFL player I've ever met and been a huge fan of his since at least 2004. I have him on my team every year. I know it wasn't the smartest decision.

Take the best available this point in the draft unless you have a need or a sleeper you've been watching. Plus with the roster size cut back by 2, the draft is 2 rounds shorter so it basically moves up by two rounds.

Because you can get a 190 point kicker two rounds later and that 100 point RB can end up being very valuable if you get it right. Mike Bush worked pretty well in that role for me last year while I ran kickers out fresh off the waiver wire...
