There's a limit of one child. Ya that's essentially what drove the whole no women birthed type of deal because they wanted the males to carry on the family name and because they could make more money to help the family.
July 20, 201214 yr Of course your population is going to shrink if you are only allowed one child, and girl babies are not wanted. Nobody left to give birth to the next generation. True about the next generation and not birthing. Going to be a lot of lonely angry guys in China before long.

July 20, 201214 yr CIA World fact book had the Chinese ratio for male/female as 1.17 males to every 1 female for those under 15 and 1.06 male to female ratio for ages 15-64. It being China it's really hard to say how accurate those #'s are but I would have expected a lot worse.
