July 17, 201214 yr This may sound like a silly question, but have you actually seen the fleas? You should be seeding them jump in the carpet. Odd that you are the only one getting bit.
July 17, 201214 yr We had 2 bad instances when I was growing up, and both were due to my sisters bringing in a stray cat. Dawn soap is a good substitute for flea soap, if you don't have it, for the pets. It's really recommended for young animals that cannot use the flea soap yet as the lather of Dawn soap smothers them. For the house, the bombs work the best. Each time, we set up multiple bombs, and they worked great. You just have to make sure to take all food out as mentioned and clean really well when you get back. As for your situation, walk around the house in a pair of white socks. If you have fleas, then they will be all over your white socks.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't even know fleas would bite people til I read this thread and then looked it up on the internet. I have heard that you should have your yard specifically treated for fleas if you have them that bad.

I spray my backyard every spring with Seven (or similar) after I find the first flea on either my kids or dogs. After that, I never see another one, and my property line is on the edge of the woods.

Today I was told by a bug terminator that these were two of the best protucts on the market: CT-75 You can get this at Southern States CV80 You can get this at Tractor Supply I purchased the CT-75 and did spray the inside of my car today. Plan on spraying house with this.
July 18, 201214 yr We had issues with fleas many years ago. Tried everything, to get rid of them, nothing worked. Got a tip from a friend which was to set up small reading lamps shining into a shallow pan of water in the corners of your rooms at night. The fleas are attracted to the light and jump into the water and drown. I was shocked by the number of fleas that went swimming. Over the course of about 3 or 4 days the number of fleas dwindled to very few. We then treated the carpet with the dust a couple of times and the fleas were gone. My suggestion is very similar to this. Place white towels in the corners of your rooms spraided with bug killer. The fleas are attracted to the white of the towel and will draw straight to it. I am also alergic to bites. I had to go to the docotor when I was a kid when our house got infested. He stated the best thing was to rub down in alcohol a couple of times a day. It worked
