It will only be worse as futures generations will only remember him for this. Kind of how justice will be served in this case for Paterno. At the very end he was fired and lost all control. Control over that University was all he had in life. No jail time served, but humiliation in his final days and here forward. You do have to wonder how long the statue will stand? Paterno did as much (positvely and negatively) that any one person could do for a University.
July 12, 201214 yr Author OJ Simpson? Maybe but the fact that they found him not guilty helps a lot. He's had time to fade away for people to forget about him. This is the very last thing that happened to Paterno. Does anyone else think he stopped taking/receiving cancer treatment because he knew what was coming? Prime example- Janitors didn't report a "horrific 2000 sexual assault" because they were "afraid of being fired for reporting a powerful football coach."

What kind of excuse is that? I know the janitors didn't have the power or influence of Patenro, but they still should have reported it to the police. They are just as guilty.

Totally agree. I feel for those men, but they should have lost their job to report it. No excuses are forgivable when it comes to abuse of a child.
