I Hate Debby.

I hope she leaves Fla. before Saturday. Me and my crew will arrive then. Trying to decide if we should cancel and head to South Carolina instead.

Was on St George island last week and when leaving told the island would be closed for sure this week. We got lucky there.

Just got home from Keesler AFB which just so happens to be the home of the Hurricane Hunters of the USAF and they (the Hurricane planes) have been a tab busy while we were there.

BTW Keesler is one beautiful AFB and those who are permanently stationed there, have indeed a beautiful place to live and work!

Debby now appears to be heading to Perry, Florida, in the Peninsula, making landfall on Wednesday, then heading down I-10 to Jacksonville and into the Atlantic on Friday. The worst part of the storm is the southeast side, which is why we've been getting hammered, and that should be out over the ocean long before the center of the storm gets there.

Buckett, I'd check the forecasts, but it looks like the east coast, from Central Florida thru South Carolina will be wet.

MacDill is nothing to sneeze at, either. The on-base housing overlooks Tampa Bay. It's pretty nice, too.

What's the latest reoprt, Floridaites?

Debby made landfall just north of Cedar Key around 5:00 this evening. Most of the heavy rain is in north Florida but it is raining pretty good here in Ocala right now. Expected to move across the peninsula tonight about halfway between Gainesville and Ocala and exit into the Atlantic tomorrow sometime somewhere between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Had much damage or flooding there? May have mentioned this before, but we have family in Ocala.

Debby definitely needs to quit abusing the Floridians and send some rain this way. The grass is dead, the crops are suffering, and I'm sick of watering flowers, trees and bushes. I also feel it's futile to plant anything new right now.:irked:
