I Hate Debby.

Tropical Storm Debby ain't no snack cake, but she sure moves like she's eaten quite a few. I think she might be blond, too, because she can't decide which way she wants to go, first toward Texas, then New Orleans, now the Pan Handle. (I know, karma.) While she's sitting there deciding, she keeps raining on my parade, literally. I've emptied the rain gauge 4 times since 7 this morning and it was running over then. That indicates 8+ inches since I emptied it last night.

She's also wrecking the day with tornados and other wind damage. We've been under a watch all day and there have been several warnings.

The Sunshine Skyway is closed. I have several friends, over in Clearwater, who have water in their homes now. My sister's pool is overflowing and the lake, on which I live, is up several feet, though my home is in no danger.

No change expected in the next day or two.

I might have to canoe to work tomorrow, if this keeps up.

Keep us updated Rat. Whish we had some of that rain here in KY....we are so dry!!!!

I lived through Huracan Isidoro in Mexico. Those things are no fun at all

Talking about karma, a storm chaser just got home from Oklahoma yesterday. A tornado hit his sub division this morning and a tree is now in his living room.

We were in a severe drought until this weekend. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess. I'd rather there be a steady rain over a month as opposed to this, though.

2 tornado warnings within the last hour and a half. One was about 10 miles north of here.

Almost hit a live line hanging across the road coming home from the store a few minutes ago. We still have power, though.

So far, there has only been one death in the Bay Area. Don't know about the Pan Handle. If you saw the report on NBC Nightly News you could see what the Gulf looks like here. The reporter was on North Reddington Beach, just south of Clearwater. They're saying we may be putting up with this until Thursday.

Bayshore Drive in Tampa has now been closed due to flooding. That's the first time I remember that happening since 1985 and Hurricane Elena.

Yeah my parents picked a lousy week to go to Florida.

If they are going to Orlando, they're not getting any wind there or on the east coast, just rain and not that heavy according to my daughter-in-law.

Announcing another tornado near Ft. Mead just now.

Rain rain rain here in Ocala with breezy conditions every now and then. I'll be flying out of Orlando Wednesday morning heading to Knoxville airport and all of this rain will probably still be here.

LB, it's blowing rain right now. Has been most of the day, here. Few calm periods,

Great day to do flooring. Put vinyl planking down in my father's room today. :thumb:

However, the way my luck has been running it would not surprise me if we get hit and the only thing left is that new floor.

Lots of tornado warnings and watches right now--stay safe, swampy!

Oh, look. She's decided she might want to turn east.

I was running through the satellite imagry this morning and, LB, what y'all got up in Ocala at 11:30 was here at 9 last night.
