June 21, 201214 yr Does "Walk this Way" count? I would say "Ain't nothing but a G Thing" as well. I remember watching a rap special like 15 years ago and that was rated as the top song of the past however many years.

I thought of that due to Run DMC but since it was an Aerosmith song I'd say it doesn't count.
June 21, 201214 yr In terms of which songs would be most well known, I think you would have to consider "Ice, Ice, Baby", "U Can't Touch This" or "Baby Got Back". I'd be surprised if any rap song was more mainstream the "Ice, Ice, Baby".

June 21, 201214 yr Just another thought: Parent's just don't understand, or even the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Theme Song, that one has to be high up there if it counts.
