These schools.... better or worse in 2012-13? Why?

Featured Replies

The best schools I saw this past year were Trinity, Ballard, Bullit East, Scott County, PRP and Southwestern.

Will these schools be better or worse in 2012-13? Why?

My votes:

-Trinity worse (lose Saxton, Foster and Diudone.... all very unique and experienced players)

-Ballard better (Snyder, Holland and K Martin have have another year to get stronger)

-BE better (Willis, Troutman and Rekes have another year to get stronger)

-SC worse (lose Ivey and Manning... nobody close to them as rising seniors)

-PRP similar (lost Clemons and a couple of other good seniors, but have some really good young players)

-SW better (they tasted Rupp Arena and want it again)

I am looking forward to seeing Southwestern play this year. A second year under Wright, they should be good.

I must see Pulaski County against Southwestern. Southwestern loses 4 contributing seniors off of that team. I would be surprised if they are better than last years team.

Southwestern will be good this year, but not as good as last year. They will not be able to play the same style of basketball as last year due to their lack of depth. They will have a very good starting five, but they are really going to need to work with their bench. Don't get me wrong, SW will be one of the top teams in the 12th region, but it may be a more difficult road to Rupp.

What he said.

Ballard will be the real deal this year! I look for them to be cutting down the nets come March. Back to back for the 7th region is my prediction.

I too am keeping my eye out for Ballard.

I'd agree with this. What I keep looking back on now that this season keeps getting more and more distant in the rearview mirror is that it took the best team Trinity's ever put together to beat Ballard by three points in that regional semifinal. They have the capability of being scary good next season.

Henry Clay SHOULD be better. Doesn't mean they WILL be better.

Agree with the original post except for the part on Southwestern (I'll have to abstain from PRP because I'm not familiar with them to a point that I'd feel comfortable speculating). As for Southwestern, I think that the amount of size that they lost will be a detriment. Also, their having to deal with expectations could have a negative impact given that Pulaski will be motivated and have revenge on their minds. On the other hand, SW has gained valuable experience and the confidence that they can go far, so who knows. I don't know if it will affect SW positively or negatively, but playing with a bullseye on their backs definitely changes the game.

I agree with you.

I do want to note that Pulaski beat Southwestern twice last year. West Jessamine ended Pulaski's season in the regional semifinals. Southwestern has a score to settle with crosstown rival Pulaski County. I will be at that game(s). :D

Golly Gee are there any other teams in 12th besides PC and SW. H ow soon we forget? Lincoln beat SW in last week of regular season. Then Lincoln only lost to SW by 7 or 8 pts in the region with Hill and Edgington fouled out! ........Can hardly wait for season to start!! ......Hey Mr. PP hope yourhaving a great summer> Is your son going to play college ball?
