Cool story bro.

10th Region officials stole the game from Harrison. Worst officials i have ever seen and i didn't have a dog in the fight.

Please elaborate...

Brossart won and Harrison County didn't. The little chant that says you gotta want it to win it and Brossart wanted it more than Harrison County. The hit batter after the ball hit the dirt is the correct call. Congrats to Brossart.

I assume you are saying a batter was awarded first base after a bounced pitch hit him, correct?

No he wasn't, because he didn't attempt to get out of the way.

I assume he was talking about a different play and not the last inning play.

I am talking about the play in the last inning. The umpire made the correct call on that one if the ball hits the ground first the batter is not awarded a base or if he does not make an attempt to get out of the way he is not awarded a base.

Pretty sure that's what he's talking about...

That's not close to correct. The ball hit him squarely in the leg. And idk why you say Harrison didn't battle or want it. They battled to get a run in the 6th and gave themselves a chance in the 7th. The call was horrible but those are the breaks. It definitely didn't hit the dirt and that wasn't the call.

Incorrect.

Oh, really? I thought it could be a HBP if the ball hits the ground. I was under the impression it wasn't given due to the batter not attempting to avoid the ball.

You are correct on both.

I am just basing it on what I heard on the radio as I was not there. It sounded as if some of the kids battled and some showed no heart!

Jim must have been worked up on the radio then. I thought they battled and I'm not sure what game he was watching if his call was that the ball bounced on the hbp.
