Geeeez It's the rubber game and we sub Costanzo for Votto. He looked excellent on his one play last night. Not to mention his 0 for 13. Dusty is sick. Too many toothpicks. Your probably right although the options are probably not a whole lot better at AAA...The good thing is the Left Handed bench role althoughin important isnt going to costs the Reds a huge number of games regardless of who is their...That being said Id give Gathright a shot and then maybe Dorn or Navarro if Gathright doesnt fit...Might as well try them all

Disappointing. I was hoping when I got on the thread I would not see the same silly dribble Lance McAlister was spouting all afternoon about Votto not playing. I have no problem with Votto getting the extra day. I have heard players say many times over the years how great it is to get that extra day and have two days in a row off. They say it makes a big difference getting two days off in a row. It is the perfect game to give Votto the night off. Cueto on the mound versus the Pirates. I really can not believe all the people complaining on the radio and on here about this.

He is not big league caliber. I don't care if you give Votto a week off. Frank Stallone isn't ready for the show. I don't listen to Lance.

He played so he doesnt get two days off. If Votto was going to sit this series and Cairo was going to get a start didn't it make more sense to have Cairo get Votto's start and not make Frazier sit Monday after sitting Saturday?

That would make sense but they dont seem too terribly concerned about the role he fills either...He has failed, Harris failed and I think Dorn is fighting injuries and having a bad year...You know how Dusty is with his admiration for good club house guys aka costanzo...I wouldnt mind seeing Gathright get a shot I guess, I would say Navarro is the best option but he has limited versatility...Imo the Reds have enough versatility as it is though...
