April 26, 201214 yr The draft starts tonight at 8pm. Who do you think the Bengals will take with their 2 picks? Here's what I think will happen.... 17 - Brockers 21 - Kirkpatrick Here's what I want to happen... 17 - DeCastro 21 - Brockers
April 26, 201214 yr What I want to happen: 17. Michael Floyd 21. Dre Kirkpatrick What I think will happen: 17. Dre Kirkpatrick 21. David DeCastro 53. David Wilson
April 26, 201214 yr I'm trying to wrap my hands around why they would waste their top pick on a WR....Can someone please give me logical reasons? It's not even a top 5 need for the team.
April 26, 201214 yr This is what I think will happen. 17.Floyd 21. Kirkpatrick I will be shocked if they take Floyd first if one of the top two corners are there. I could see Floyd at 21. Two of the first 3 picks will be defense and perhaps all three.

I agree that it's not a glaring need but I could see them taking him if they believe he's a top 10 guy. I'd like to see them take Kirkpatrick and DeCastro, but if they snagged Floyd I don't think I would complain.

Bengal fans SHOULD complain if they pick a WR at 17 IMO. Would be an awful decision.

April 26, 201214 yr Who's from GT? I think a WR in the first round for the Bengals would be an absolutely awful decision. They have so many bigger needs that they'll be able to get better value for at 17 or 21.
April 26, 201214 yr ^ Stephen Hill. And again, I do think they'll take Gilmore (if he's there) or Kirkpatrick at 17. I'm just throwing out what if's.
April 26, 201214 yr As good as Decastro appears to be, I am having a hard time seeing the Bengals taking a guard in the first round after signing two free agents at the position.

If Gilmore is gone, then I would not take a cornerback with either first round picks. I don't see Kirkpatrick doing that well in the NFL, and his ball skills are not that great. The only safety worth picking the first round probably would be gone. Have to think one of the two 1st round picks will be a guard for the offensive line. Which if they do that, and get a WR then I have no problem with it. If they go corner and WR I probably would not like it. #2 receiver is something big that needs to be addressed. More and more teams will double cover Green now, especially if we have no one worth a darn at #2. If Floyd falls to them, I would be fine with it and I believe he will be the best one in the draft. Stephen Hill while not a great pick, is another pick I would be fine with, however I don't want any part of Kendall Wright at receiver. If they address the o-line with the first pick, then I am fine with them also getting a WR.
