Most people already know this about Morgan, but I don't think the 15th teams really understand that Belfry must be taken seriously yet!

They will before its all over. Im not just saying it cause Im a Belfry fan but they really do have a good team and a good coach.

Adkins did play for Morgan Co.

 

Congrats to Belfry on the win. They did what they had to do.

 

Cougars hurt themselves early by continually to miss easy shots and layups as in the 1st quarter.

 

I left there a little mind boggled about some things. Better stop there.

 

Belfry has two terrific guards in Maynard and Case. Fun kids to watch.

The refs didnt cost the game for Morgan Co. The technical foul was well deserved because he had a couple warnings. Also it was a badly called game both sides it was called way to loosely. Morgan big guys were over Belfry backs alot also. It was a game called way to loose but it was called like that on both sides of the ball.

Also good luck to Morgan the rest of the year this really was an exciting game to watch. Both teams played good D.

Good to see the 15th win a couple over the 16th. Belfry over Morgan and JC over Boyd. Nice wins.

The game was called rather loosely on both ends and he just got a little bit aggervated. He didnt do nothing major or loose his tempor or anything. But those refs werent gonna take any lip at all they made that clear. Earlier in the quarter he complained and got warned then and the next time he did they slapped him with a T. I was kind of suprised when they did. But it was a loosely called game on both ends of the floor. Our 15th region refs dont go reputation as the best out there haha.

But good luck to Morgan rest of the tournament and season. The coaches, teams, adn fans alls eemed like classy people.

Anybody that thinks Perry deserved the technical is bad wrong. If what he did deserved a technical, then I'd expect to see 50-60 technicals from 15th region coaches. It's a darn good thing Perry didn't go to Johnson Central.

 

I'm sure if people not from the 16th region would question the officials from within the 16th region about Coach Perry and questioning calls, you would find that probably all of them would say Coach Perry says the least of any coach inside the 16th region. As a matter of fact, one very well respected official statewide once told me that if Matthew Perry says something or questions a call then "We probably did miss the call" and he has the right to say something about it.

 

Perhaps inexperienced officiating coupled the questioning by Perry to warrant a technical foul. Bottom line it was a complete farce.

Those are 2 of our experienced officials lol. Ill agree he didnt do much but he did get the warning. But you must admit it just wasnt badly called on one end of the floor. It was bad on both ends they were letting alot of stuff go uncalled. I seen SEVERAL missed calls on both ends. But both teams have excellent clubs and played really hard. Neither team could balme a loss on the officails in this game. They both missed some easy shots and made some not so smart plays like some of Belfrys passes or like one drive when Morgan missed 2 layups. Stuff like that can cost you a ballgame.

Not blaming officials for Belfry scoring 61 and Morgan scoring 60.

 

Would REALLY be amused if Belfry actually thought they got the raw end of the deal.

 

The biggest goof was the technical foul really. I'm not saying this was the worst officiated game in history. In the world's worst officated games, both teams will get shafted. But then at some point at the end of the season, there is accountability in all of that stuff...isn't there?

 

Belfry has a great shot of winning the 15th region this season and hope they do. They have a great coach in Randy Casey and quality players.

 

Believe the Cougars have a couple of more trips to Pike Central this week. Win or lose the Cougars will "take it like a man"

Coach Perry from what I could tell was calling for a carry on Belfry's guards most of the night,until the T was given.

Belfry doesn't think they got the raw end of the deal...but I think you could tell that the Belfry staff wasn't happy with the officiating...there were MANY things under the basket that didn't get called...BOTH ways. "Take it like a man"??? Coach Casey was warned not to say anything on Belfry's FIRST possession of the game...so Coach Perry wasn't the only one upset...

As I listened to the game on the radio Morgan county was leading in the first half 9-?. According to the play by play announcer Morgan scored another basket but never got the credit for the basket which would have made them 11 points at the end of the first Quarter. Was there a basket waived off at the end of the first Quarter?
