I dont see how you can not include Scott on this list.

I know when thinking of the 10th region, you can sometimes forget about Scott. However, in this case I am not impressed with Scott's gym. That's just my opinion.

I have to go with the Fieldhouse,Very tough to come into and get a win even when the other team might be the favorite.Toughest place in the 10th i can remember to get a win would have to have been the old Maysville Bulldogs Gym Now known as Earl D Jones court. It was tough to go in there and beat the Bulldogs.

Sorry this is in the wrong thread thought i was in toughest gyms to play thread. :irked:

Campbell County has very nice facilities.

The top 6 gyms in the 10th region are: (No particular order)

Mason Co.

GRC

Montgomery

Bourbon Co.

Campbell Co.

Harrison County

Honorable Mention:

Bracken County

I agree Highfield the Fieldhouse has a lot of tradition, especially when the 10th region tournament is there, I wouldn't change the site to have it somewhere else if you paid me too. :thumb:

St. Pat's gym back in the 80's was rough to play in with the inbounds and out of bounds lines were confusing at times to most teams.

Let's hear the inputs on your gym in the 10th.

Pendleton County's gym holds about 2000 max. on a good night. Every boys home game is usually packed with a great atmosphere. The crowds have started to become rather large these past few years because of the teams' success.

A very tough place to win now-a-days. The Wildcats have a 16 game win streak there. Last loss @ PC was Dec. 9 2003.

The lockerooms at PC are referred to dungeons because they are downstairs in the basement. It's always fun to watch the opposing teams faces once they findout their locker room is in the basement.

The gym at PC used to be called the "Hilltop," because of existence on a hill. Today more people are calling it the "Woodshed" and "Coach Biggs Court." The "Woodshed" refers to legendary coach Phillip Wood who led the cats to two 10th region titles. Also "Coach Biggs Court" because of his recent teams and trip to Rupp Arena last season.

A very unique place and a great gym to watch a game. ;)

Closer to 1700 on the attendance.

I liked it the couple years the student body made a sign to hang over their section that said "Litter Box" I thought that was funny.

Pep Band is the VERY BEST in the 10th region.

Pendleton has also won 18 straight against 10th region opponents dating back to last years MCIT loss to Montgomery Co. that streak could be in serious trouble with their side of the draw stacked in this weeks MCIT.

I heard somebody say last year that the Brossart, Montgomery Co. and Mason Co. games at home, definitely had over 2000 people.

I do agree on the PC pep band! :ylsuper:

You will always hear from those who feel like they're getting a raw deal when they have to play the district/regional tournament games at the Mason County Fieldhouse. On the rare occasion when the regional tourney was moved, however, there was "no room at the inn" for hundreds if not thousands of fans

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing else in Kentucky high school basketball like the atmosphere in a packed Fieldhouse for the 10th region finals, with 6,400+ in attendance.

The "SyDome" is a very tough place to get a win. Other than the screaming fans and small gym atmosphere, it seems as if though it's hard to make shots there. You rarely see a team go in there and put up 70-80 points against the Mustangs.

I think it is the defense that brossart has that doesnt allow people to put up big numbers. But the Gym does give them an advantage because it is so small and its sometimes hard for the other teams fans to get into the game.

I agree with the Fieldhouse. Alot of years you have to get there an hour early to even get in the door for the regional semi's and finals. The atmosphere there in March is like nothing else.
