Top 5 freedoms at stake if ObamaCare is upheld

I disagree, especially when money is involved to increase that influence.

You must have been in some pretty bad relationships if that's the case.

Not sure what that comment has to do with the topic but I want to be clear. You'd have no issue publically going against your spouse's employer even if it meant a potential loss or decrease in household income?

I'm sorry and I certainly don't want to question anyones integrity but I have a very difficult time believing that statment. If money doesn't buy influence then Mrs. Thomas wouldn't be paid for her "advocacy". If she wanted to advocate do it for free and no one can object, take money for it to pool with your husband and it's influence buying.

So if my wife takes a paid position with a group advocating pro-abortion, I am automatically by your standards pro-abortion as for me to believe otherwise could potentially hurt her job. Amazing. It must be difficult going through life with such a cynical view of people.

If you really believe what you're saying, and not just trying to be argumentative, then either a) you've been in some really bad relationships that lead you that belief, or b) have a very warped view of what relationships entail.

As to your question, I'm not married, but would NEVER even give a thought to making my spouse share my view/beliefs on anything political. She's a nurse, so if she took a job at an abortion clinic in your warped logic you expect my views to automatically become pro-choice?

You call it cynical I call it I call it realistic.

Guys, you might as well be arguing with the wall. 2HC is never wrong and knows better what you're talking about then you do. Didn't you know that.

No but if you were one of say 5 people that were voting if that clinic could remain open, the potential loss of income could most certainly sway your vote. Relationship status good, bad or ugly doesn't matter, money talks and always does. To say it wouldn't is being pollyannish.

Right, because I don't agree with the 90% of republicans on this board. Intellegent comments that bring nothing to the debate is the reason I've stayed out of P&R for a few months.

That's not true at all.

Most relationships don't involve one spouse forcing their political beliefs on the other.

James Carvelle and his wife come to mind, if they're still married.

It's got nothing to do with agreeing with a republicans position but when you completely disregard what your told and replace it with your own opinion about people you bring nothing to the debate. There are plenty here that will have intellegent conversation and debate with you but I have yet to see you do that.

You're right woodsrider, people are very principled and money has no influence in the world. I'm sorry I didn't agree with his premise as defensive as he was but that goes against basic human nature.

I am a bit tired of hearing the "brocoli" argument as in "what's next - will the govt tell us to buy brocoli." Quite a stretch that misses the obvious difference.

A person who doesn't have health insurance COSTS ME MONEY. They're going to get healthcare at some point and when they do and can't pay it it's ME that's paying it.

When someone can somehow equate that to being forced to buy brocoli I'll buy the lame question.

Yeah, that's what I said. Look, you all but called LN and UKMF liars. They flat told you how they felt and that didn't fit your arrogant "know it all" thought process and so you dismissed what they said.

My know it all thought process is reality until lobbiest start handing out lolipops instead of checks.

Why would you assume that Obamacare will not cost you money?
