Why don't you practice what you preach and show a little class.

Show me examples. I just thought you would've known that the vote would be after the tournament (as is referenced in post #6 of this thread). You invest energy in trying to stir something up with me, either personally, or via my allegiance to teams, constantly around here. It is a tired practice. I have THICK skin, and I am respected by those that I care about (in this forum). I can't worry about those that don't like me. I haven't before, and I certainly won't now.

I wasn't trying to be funny or deceiving. I wash thinking everyone was on the same page that I was in that the voting hasn't been conducted yet. Nathan has played so great this tourney and on Friday especially that in my opinion he has he award won. Had he truly won the award and I knew before everyone else at 11:00pm on a Friday night I would have started a thread for it. Sorry again for the confusion.

I still don't like the way they do the voting. I've always been under the impression that Mr. Basketball (and Miss Basketball) is supposed to go to the best player in the state. I think voting should take place prior to district tournaments. I believe they already have an award for MVP (the best player) of state tournament. It seems to me that in recent years (I know there have been exceptions), Mr. or Miss Basketball goes to someone on a state championship team.

The ones I can remember we're deserving. Elijah Justice was deserving and Anthony Hickey was deserving. Didn't Jon Hood win the year before Elijah Justice? This year I believe going into the Sweet 16 tourney it was between Manning, Dieudonne and possible dark horse Jaysean Paige. After the last two days I don't see how why it shouldn't be Dieudonne. He has been the best player here all week. It would be deserving for him to win and considering the plethora of talent on Trinity what he is doing and how is performing is nothing short of impressive. Put him on a team where he isn't surrounded by so much talent and I bet he averages 25 and 8 on the year. At the least.

With all due respect, the season ain't over. The award should include all games, and there still remains one to be played. Giving the award excluding the post season is silly. Maybe we should give it after Christmas break.
