Here is a link to the stats from the 1st game: NORTH LAUREL vs ROWAN COUNTY (03/14/12)

Looks like NL got out to a very slow start and never recoverd.

Congrats to Coach Thacker and his son for the win and the big game.

Congrats to Rowan on the Big Win!

Like I said in the preview thread, being at the Sweet 16 before makes a huge difference. Lots of times it takes teams a quarter or so to settle down from the big stage and it can be too late when going up a team that already has that experience. That is exactly what happened here. Congrats to Rowan County.

Rowan County sophomore Tyler Thacker picked the perfect time and perfect place to play the game of his life.

Thacker came off the bench to hit four of six three-pointers and score a career-high 25 points to lead the Vikings past North Laurel 64-46 in the opening game of the 95th PNC/KHSAA Boys' State Basketball Tournament on Wednesday afternoon in Rupp Arena.

It was weird seeing kids I remember from when they were middle-schoolers. Congrats on a great season, Jags!
