  1. Agreed. I know it is a different time with more player movement but I remember Steve Adams first season at Boyle they weren't good at all, but after that they were annual competitors. I suspect they'll be better this season but it might be another year before they are a contender. However, West is a program with good tradition and Adams is a great coach. They'll be back in the running sooner than later.
  2. One the best mornings on Twitter in ages. Try to choke down laughs at all the jokes and memes as my students take their final exam!
  3. Just for one year? The KHSAA site has Barth as coach in 2009 and no one listed for 2008.
  4. Only coach in school history, correct? Regional finalists in 2012, 2019, 2020, and 2021, along with a state semifinal appearance in 2018. All for a school that didn't field a team until 2008.
  5. So the football field will now run from center field to right field of the current baseball stadium?
  6. I've enjoyed watching PJ Washington play well this postseason. I know he had good numbers in a bad situation at Charlotte, but going to the Mavericks has been great for him. I'm with you, if Dallas gets peak Kyrie they are very dangerous. The problem I've seen is Irving has been hit and miss so far this postseason.
  7. Am I the only one not wowed by Luka Doncic? Seems like he flops constantly and complains about everything. He definitely fills up the stat sheet but at what cost? I'll admit I don't watch much NBA prior to the playoffs so that's why I quoted you @PurplePride92, because I know you'll give me the answer with no filter!
  8. Was almost no buzz for this event this year (its also the first time I remember it not being on a Tuesday night in many, many years). I'm guessing because there isn't an obvious game changer anywhere in the draft like Wemby was last season. I do think there are some good pickups for teams later in the draft. Will also be curious to see where Sheppard and Dillingham end up.
  9. Whatever the 1947 version of Bluegrasspreps was would have been absolutely bonkers with a team no having a coach until late August!
  10. It has been open for a couple years. It is a public high school in the JCPS system, but it is boys only (there is an equivalent girls school called Grace James). I believe they started with only freshmen and now have sophomores and juniors. Next year will be the first with seniors, the same kids that came in as freshmen. They played football last season in Class 2A in a district with LCA, Fort Knox, Shawnee, and Washington County, although I don't believe they were eligible for postseason play. I have no idea how big the school will get but I do know that JCPS is planning to build a new school building for the school (I think they are in an old middle school at this point).
  11. Since the KHSAA districts came out before the AI-generated alignment, I'll give the KHSAA a pass since most schools have probably already started making schedules for the next cycle (even if a moratorium was in place). Your AI districts were on the agenda, which is a positive step. I'm hopeful they give it a much more thorough examination the next time districts are realigned.
