As a Beechwood fan, I like that bracket. Winning the district championship was huge.
Also, for clarification the games are at Thomas More Stadium, as it is stated on the bracket.
Make it painful for the players. Then the union complains to the league about the 3 games in 10 days scheduling. The NFL then negotiates a way to stop the 3 games in 10 days scheduling by adding the 18th regular season game. I believe there are 9 teams this year playing 3 games in 10 days and that happened rarely in previous seasons.
Mo Egger on ESPN 1530 says he believes the NFL did this scheduling on purpose this year to push the players into agreeing to an 18th regular season game.
As Scott van Pelt said tonight, "The charade is over."
The NCAA and power 5 conferences reached an agreement to pay players directly. They will pay players going back to 2016. Payout will be $2.7B over the next 10 years. All current lawsuits need to be dropped. More details to come but it looks like athletes are getting paid going forward.
I wonder how this impacts NIL? I assume NIL is still there for the top athletes.
Always tough to get info on this game. They have played at Dixie for several years so I expect it to be played there. First or second week of June? Isn't that when they usually play it?
I agree. Unfortunately, 5 starters today hitting less than .200. I think Elly may have been the only starter today hitting over .225. Slim pickins' for Bell.
Think about this. With that many steals, Elly should definitely be leading the league in runs, right? Especially considering he has hit 9 home runs. Yet he is seventh in runs in the NL. That tells a story about the Reds offense.
