That always helped me when I played. Being pretty close to the rim helps too....sometimes.

Hypothethically (not focusing on any specific player's condition)... if you have a player who is on the mend from a nagging injury, would you rest him in the District Finals and save him for the Regionals? Always want to win. The higher seed is nice to have but the District runner-up gets a ticket to the BOK dance just like the champ. I would be tempted to hold out the player on the mend and save him for the Regionals.

I graduated with Jimmy Pauly. (Pretty darn good football player) There are more than enough Pauly's to go around. :thumb:

Coach Wirth has every right to test the waters at other institutions. There may be financial opportunities or retirement perks available outside Park Hills that Cov. Cath. simply cannot match. In my opinion nearly everyone would support the efficacy of Coach taking whatever steps he deems necessary to provide for his family. What I think some may take issue with is the matter morphing into "the Park Hills mafia is chasing him out". Coach Wirth enjoys very solid support. Colonel Nation would be very disappointed to see him go but would understand....(see Rodenberg, John).

Nothing but respect for the Bluebirds :notworthy: but Cov. Cath. has six state football championships. Highlands was in their district for every one of them.

I love Brossart's program. They consistently overperform.

He graduated in 1978. Came in on the freshman team with Dave Rechtin's group. I think it was Coach Listerman's first freshman squad at Cov. Cath.
