  1. There is no pressure on any players and coaches at GC to prove anything. If the team continues to successfully run "The System" and play more aggressively on defense, then good things will happen this year.
  2. Ashland plays a Home and Home with Greenup County each year, too. The reason that 2006 and 2007 were both played at Ashland was that 2006 was at the end of the contract and 2007 was at the beginning. It doesn't matter if you play first or last in a contract period as long as you play the same amount of games during the contract. That being said, the 2008 game is at Greenup County. 3. The general who wins the battle makes many calculations in his temple before the battle is fought. The general who loses makes but few calculations beforehand. Sun Tzu
  4. If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. Sun Tzu
  5. Thanks for the correction. I don't follow the 3A District as closely.
  6. It takes just over an hour to get to Maysville (use the AA) and Flemingsburg (I-64 and 32) from Grayson. Those are the longest treks in their 3A district. It takes about 40 to 50 minutes to get to Morehead and Louisa from Grayson. East Carter does not have geographic concerns in its current district. However, Ashland and Johnson Central have geographic concerns since their district consists of Woodford County and Montgomery County.

  9. In NE KY, the game should be on WLGC 105.7. However, here is a link to the webcast. http://khsaa.ezstream.com/
  10. Let's face it. Rose Hill will be able to obtain players who reside in KY, WV, or OH! If that isn't a selling point, then I don't know what is!

  15. Published: June 05, 2008 12:06 am Greenup bats explode in Game 1 By MELINDA ROBINSON - The Independent STANTON — With its trademark fourth-inning explosion, Greenup County cruised to a 12-2 win over Estill County Wednesday night in Game 1 of the Semi-State 7. “There’s something about that fourth inning. That’s the Musketeer inning,” Greenup County coach Greg Logan said. “That’s usually the guys’ second time around (the order), sometimes their third, so it’s a good inning for us. I don’t understand why they wait until the fourth inning. The first would be preferred.” Greenup County got eight earned runs off eight hits while sending 12 batters to the plate during the frame. The Musketeers (35-6) also extended their winning streak to 21 games while snapping the Engineers’ 14-game win streak. Another streak was also brought to a close. Greenup County senior pitcher Tyler Hieneman’s state-record streak of scoreless innings was broken up in the bottom of the second, ending the mark with 37.
