New coach in Ashley Geralds but he had been the middle school coach so he knows the players. They graduated a good class that featured Clint Henderson but I have had the opportunity to watch them this summer and they play really hard, which is a BIG bonus.

Return a great player in Cameron Hall and had a wonderful freshman class. Will contend for the 4th region "All A" title and should win their district and could make some noise in 4th region.

Will have a great shot at winning the 4th region this year, they way things played out last year, if they would have been totally healthy they could have won it !!

Tore everything in it, had surgery back before school was out, he was invited to play with jr all-stars but couldnt, I heard he is shooting some and rehabing alot.

Team will go as far as Senior Cody Rich will take them, he is one of the best players in the 3rd region but is coming off knee surgery may take him awhile to get going. Their district is compromised of Whitesville Trinity, Butler Co., and Grayson.

Cumberland County Team Camp yesterday and today: Alot of different schools played. Some played 1 day some played both. Marion Co. 0-2 Metcalfe Co. 3-1 Cumberland Co. 4-0 Russell Co. 2-0 Clinton Co. 0-2 Monticello 0-4 Adair Co. 1-1 Monroe 2-1 Rockcastle 1-1 Glasgow 3-1 Casey Co. 0-4 Pickett Co. I would guess the first step is to hire a coach, I think they are looking for one currently

Cumberland returns most of its players from last season, it was first winning season in 11years and first district title in 10 seasons, could make region tourn. again but it will be tough their district is good top to bottom.

Clinton Co. is well coached and always plays hard. They won the 4th Region "All A" title and got beat in a thriller in the first round of their district and return their nucleus back should be a top 10 team in the 4th.

I think teaching jobs played a role from the word on the street, but Coach Willet has paid his dues there. I think he had been an assistant there for around 10 years.

I remember Coach Coldiron when he was at Russell Co. I think he left Russell Co. for Powell Co. he has done a good job wherever he has been.

I am going to throw a name out there not many have heard of. Shaun Wheat of Cumberland Co. he is going to be a senior he is only 6'2 or 6'3 and plays in the post due ot their style of play, but he led the state in fg percentage throughout the season according to khsaa and he had 27 rebounds in their triple overtime loss to Bowling Green, a 4th region tourn. record.

Big Rob is a great coach and when you think of Augusta I think of him. Gets his kids to play hard and his teams are always competitive.

Coach Arnold did a great job in year 1 and I look for the colonels to have a better season this year, I would say they will play uptempo basketball.

One thing Burgin will always have and thats great coaching, Coach Irvine does a great job !!

They are currently looking for a coach at the present time !

Willet - has been an assistant at ACS the last 8 or so years Buttry - Head Coach at Mad So. I think Lindsey - Former Warren Central boys assistant and current Girls coach at Franklin Simpson. Some other names floating around: Combs - Head Coach at Cumberland Breeze - Head Coach at Bracken Co. Lindsey and Combs were both assistants the first couple years Warren Central went to Sweet 16, and Coach Breeze went to Western so there is that tie I guess, Willet has worked under 3 coaches I can remember.

Not alot of movement about the job at this point, seems that it has died down, but there was alot of talk about it mainly because of the timing and it is looked upon as a good job in the 4th region.

Dont know much about players but I do know Coach Kelsch and they are well coached, they seem to do well for a school that is K-12 in one building.

Must replace a super senior class that had Fudge, Ballou, and Helm in it, a class that won ALOT of games in their 4 years and made the state tourny a couple of times. I think they had some decent classes under them but it will be very tough to replace those kids.
